--Josh's P.O.V--

"Has Declan still not talked to you?" Tyler asked as he plopped down at the lunch table.

I sighed. "I went to his house last night and tried to talk to him about the whole thing, but he and I just ended up arguing with one another about Parker Axton. After that was finished, he just asked me to leave, so I did."

I made sure to leave out the part about the kiss. Jenna was the only person who knew about that.

"He's got to be hurting," Jenna remarked. "Everybody's still talking about the newspaper article. I honestly wouldn't blame him if he decided to switch schools."

Carter pushed her glasses up. "Even if he switched schools, people there would figure out his secret sooner or later."

"So Declan told you and only you his secret?" Nickolai asked. "You are the only who he told personally?"

I shook my head.

"Then why doesn't the school board believe that someone broke into the newspapers office and changed your article? If you aren't the only person he personally told then you aren't the only suspect."

Ambrosia ran a hand through her hair. "The school board doesn't believe him because they just want this situation to go away. They truthfully don't care who actually wrote the article. They just want to punish someone, so it looks like they care about their students."

I had to admit that Ambrosia was right. Mr. Porter may have been willing to hear me out, but the moment he turned the case over to the school board, it didn't matter what I had to say. Parker Axton wasn't going to get the punishment that he rightfully deserved. I was going to receive his punishment and Declan hating me was punishment enough, but Parker got what he wanted in the first place.

He hated that Declan and I were friends for some reason. He couldn't stand it when we were together, so the only way to get Declan to stay away from me was to go to the most extreme measures that he could possibly think of.

However, I couldn't prove that he was the culprit.

I took a drink of my water as a loud sound echoed throughout the cafeteria and I quickly turned to see Declan Gray slam his tray against the table before picking it up and chucking it at Parker Axton's head.

"Jesus, man, what's your problem?" Parker screeched, standing up and glancing down at his food covered shirt.

"You're my problem! I'm so sick of you! I'm so sick of you controlling every little thing I do! I'm so sick of hockey! I'm so sick of you treating me like absolute shit every single day. I'm not a fucking dog, you fucking asshole!"

Parker stepped towards the shorter boy and I instantly stood up, ready to defend Declan Gray if I needed to. The moment the captain of the hockey team stepped forward once again, Declan's fist came out and connected with his jaw, causing the whole cafeteria to gasp.

I never knew Declan could hit hard enough to truthfully hurt someone, but considering the fact that there was already a bruise forming on Parker's face, he could.

Before Parker could even react, Declan grabbed his backpack and charged out of the cafeteria.

"Go home and cry to your mommy, just like the fucking girl you truly are!" Parker screamed after the younger boy's fleeing figure as he held his face.

That's when the whole cafeteria turned into chaos. Multiple students began screaming at Parker because of his transphobia while others were clapping at his words and some just looked like they couldn't care less about what just occurred.

"I'm going to go talk to Declan," I told everyone at my table before taking off running towards the exit of the cafeteria.

I knew Declan. He was going to find some place to cry. He needed some place to get all of his emotions, that weren't anger, out. I expected him to already be out of the hallway when I rounded the corner, but I was surprised to see him walking towards the exit of the school.

I jogged after him, my feet creating booming noises across the tile. He didn't turn around until I grabbed his shoulder, pulling him back. "Declan, what's wrong? Are you okay?"

That's when Declan Gray surprised me.

Suddenly his mouth was on mine and my lips were moving in sync with his. Declan was a not a confident person, so when his tongue entered my mouth, I was shocked, but it felt good.

I never truly thought about my sexuality. There was really no one that I was attracted to that made me want to have a relationship before. I dated a few girls at my old school, but either one of those relationships lasted longer than two or three weeks.

After Declan kissed me the first time, I began to wonder what my sexuality actually was. When he first kissed me, I was too shocked to return it, but that didn't mean I didn't like it. After I left his house that night, all I thought about was that kiss. It didn't last more than a few seconds, but it ignited something inside me; something that I wanted to experience once more.

Declan broke away from me, but grabbed a hold of my hand before pulling me towards a empty classroom. We stepped inside and the lock barely had time to click before our lips connected once again. Our tongues collided against one another and I let out a grunt as Declan nicked my lip with his teeth.

He pulled away from me, his face flushed. "We got twenty minutes. Just follow my lead."

I already knew what he wanted before he dropped down to his knees. "Pull down your pants."

I did what he instructed and I was so glad I did. I was utterly amazed at Declan as I glanced down at his flushed face.

Declan had once mentioned to me that he had a relationship with a boy last year to test out whether he liked boys or not and he must have learned a lot because what he was currently doing was magnificent.

A breathy moan escaped my lungs as my hand found its way into the younger boy's hair and I pulled at it as hard as I could. "Oh my god, Declan."

And when I finally released, I had to bite my lip to keep from screaming.

Declan climbed back onto his feet, scrambling over to the desk to grab some tissues before handing them to me.

I quickly cleaned myself up before pulling my pants up and tightening my belt.

I scanned Declan up and down, wanting to see some emotion from him. I wanted to know what was going on inside his head. He just gave me a blowjob and the Declan I was used to being around would have never attempted that in a thousand years. He would never have attempted something that intimate with me.

"Declan, seriously, are you alright? You're acting strange."

His face was still flushed as he gave me the biggest smile that showed all of his teeth; however I noticed that tears threatened to leak out of his eyes. "I'm perfectly fine, Josh, trust me."

He grabbed his backpack off the floor and slung it over his shoulder. "Goodbye, Josh."

And then to my amazement he just left.

A/N: Well, that was unexpected.
