I had a glimpse of heaven.

We were already on the road even before midnight. And as we made our way to Antipolo in the middle of the night, we spent quality time inside the car.

I told her to rest up since she already told me where to go but she said she would stay up with me. So we talked, we shared stories, and we laughed. We also sang along the songs she played. It was fun.

In fairness to her, she knew a lot of good music aside from BSB and Westlife. In fact, she said she made a playlist she likes to listen to that makes her think of me and us.

Some of the songs included were ILYSB by Lany, Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls, Say You Won't Let Go by James Arthur, Enchanted by Taylor Swift, They Don't Know About Us by One Direction, and Ngiti by Ronnie Liang.

And God, when she sang the songs to me, I swear I felt like a teenager who just found out her crush has a crush on her too. No, it wasn't just like that. I can't even explain. All I know is that she made me feel giddy to the bones.

"Sa iyong ngiti, ako'y nahuhumaling," she even whispered to me when the song ended.

I couldn't help but smile and she made me face her hastily and she kissed me on my lips and on my dimples. Thank God for stoplights.

The place was very difficult to find. It wasn't somewhere you stumble upon. There were trees everywhere and the road was not cemented and the paths were narrow. Definitely a place where you can be away from everything and everyone.

Upon arriving at the resort, we were immediately assisted by the personnel. By the looks of it, they were also eager to get us to bed since I don't think a lot of people checks in in there in such ungodly hours.

The place was pretty dim so I really can't say how it looked like and besides, Mika said our real destination is the neighboring spa which we could enjoy later in the afternoon.

And since we were both tired from the trip, Mika and I settled on the comfy bed after changing and cleaning up, and fell asleep immediately in each other's arms.

In the morning, I woke up to the sound of silverwares being moved around.

When I opened my eyes, there was a small set table beside the bed and Mika was fixing the food on it.

"Good morning, Babe! Breakfast in bed!" she said warmly before giving me a short kiss.

I searched her face for the fatigue that was dominating her yesterday and even until last night and I was glad to find it's absence. She seemed better. I smiled.

"Wow. Breakfast pa lang pero bakit feeling ko maispoil ako today?"

I pulled her down to sit between my legs on the bed so that I could hug her from behind. I inhaled her scent and couldn't help but nuzzle her neck. I placed a soft kiss on her shoulder blade.

She chuckled and pouted, asking for a kiss.

"Definitely, Babe. I want you to feel how much I love you today."

"Today lang?" I whined.

Her smile once again faltered but she gave me a smack soon after. "Wag ka masyadong magpa-cute. Baka di na kita ibalik sa Manila."

I laughed at that.

"I wouldn't mind that all."

She shook her head at me in amusement. Then, she said we should eat instead.
