I got a new shirt today.
I woke up early with her still wrapped in my arms. It gave me a weird feeling. Until the guilt consumed me again.
I put the computer that still laid down on my stomach down to my side and tried to remove her arm that was hugging me. She groaned and held on to me tighter.
I was scared to admit that I liked how clingy she was being in her sleep. It made me want to get away from her more. No, need. I didn't want to get away from her but I had to.
I ordered my heart to calm down as I stood up and watched her sleep, now with a crease on forehead. It was as if she was missing my presence.
I shook my head. It couldn't be. I decided to cook breakfast instead.
When she woke up and went out of my bedroom, she looked pale.
"Good morning. Okay ka lang?"
She nodded meekly. "Yeah, medyo masama lang pakiramdam. Sorry, nakatulog na ako kagabi."
"Wala 'yun. Patapos na rin ako magluto. Pancakes, okay lang? Tapos may advil ako diyan kung masakit ulo mo."
"Thank you," she said simply as she sat down on the dining table.
We ate silently afterwards. I was expecting it to be awkward but it wasn't because she didn't feel so well. And I really didn't want to talk. We might end up talking about yesterday and I didn't want that.
"Advil?" I asked after eating.
"Hindi na. Thank you. Gutom lang ata ako," she said with a small smile.
I chuckled because she actually gained some of her colors after eating.
"Hmmn. By any chance ba may extra toothbrush ka and pwede makahiram ng shirt?"
I guided her back to the bedroom and pointed my closet where she can get a shirt while I looked for the extra toothbrush on the bathroom. When I came back to give it to her, I saw her holding a blue shirsey between her index finger and thumb and with disgust on her face. She was holding another folded blue shirt on her other hand.
"Bakit meron ka nito?" she asked while making a face.
I chuckled because it was Kiefer's shirsey.
"When you're pretending to date someone, it's one of those things that's handy to have."
"Well, it's over diba? Please get rid of this."
She threw the shirt on my feet. I picked it up callously.
"Ang bitter mo kay Kief. Di ka pa nakakamove on?"
She rolled her eyes and acted as if she was about to vomit. She did it well too because her eyes even became glassy.
"I just don't like him."
"You dated him."
"Don't remind me," she said distastefully.
I chuckled and wondered what the real score about that was. I've only ever heard Kief's side and Kief had the tendency to play victim so I never truly believed him. But before I could even ask, she took the toothbrush in my hand and went to the bathroom.
I decided to wait for her in the living room and turned on the TV. When she went out of the bathroom, my eyes widened.
"Nababaliw ka na ba? Bakit 'yan ang suot mo?"
