My life is changing every day. Living two hours away from home in a huge city, but I never expected this. In the big city of Toronto, I'm still a country girl at heart.

I'm currently a media student at the University of Toronto, I wanted a start on my career to get into the entertainment industry.

I mean what job could be more fun than the entertainment industry.

Tomorrow is a huge deal, it's my first real experience in the business, an event put together by a radio station that features young Canadian artist and I get to volunteer for school!

The feature of the show and host is Shawn Mendes, I knew he started from vine but I really liked his music. I knew Shawn was f*kcing cute but didn't want to fangirl I want him to take me seriously.

I walk in wearing black boots, black leather skirt, my hair long down(loosely curled) with minimal makeup (eyelash extensions), A black lacy crop top to go along with it. And to top everything off I had just gotten my nails done the day before I felt confident until...

I'm backstage trying to remember what I learned in class of good questions to ask and scribbling down some jot notes.

I start to feel a panic attack starting to come on. My heart rate speeds up I can feel it in my throat and in my ears. It feels like I'm drowning. I start to feel numb until...

A strong masculine hand rests on my lower back and everything changes. I look up and see the most amazing man I have ever seen. Deep dark eyes and most perfect lips ever. He takes my breath away. Shawn says "Hey, are you okay?" as he puts his hand on my back.

"Yea um just anxious because I have to interview all these artists last minute. I'm okay though." I can feel my pulse slowing down the more I gaze up at him.

"Are you sure? Here, have some water." Shawn says. Before he offers me the water he opens the cap for me and I see his biceps pulse as he twists the cap. This boy is making me feel some type of way I thought to myself.

Shawn's POV

I love being back home in Canada. Toronto is a big city but Pickering is pretty close which is where my home is. I love being back home before I head off to my world your.

I've been spending as much time as I can with Aaliyah and my parents. I have this event today for young artists and I'm hosting it too.

Before the event is about to start I walk towards a girl.

She lights up the corner of my eye as well as this whole damn event.

I see she's breathing very heavy from behind underneath her long beautiful hair and I need to go over there.

She looked so flawless I couldn't help but put my hand on her back.

Her silhouette looked irresistible from behind.

When she turned and gazed up at me, she took my breath away. It was hard for me to focus on what I was doing. I offered her water and tried to be a gentleman and open it for her. I see a lot of girls every day but she was different. Something in my gut told me

"That's her, she's the one."

I had to go start the event because I was hosting but her name tag was sitting on the sound box beside her "Kaya James"
