Ethan pulled up in the driveway to his house, we dropped Daisy and Gray off at Daisy's and then carried on home
I was about to jump out car and run to my house when Ethan spoke up
"Come in to mine for a minute we need to make some ground rules"
"Ok I'll tell my mum I'm staying at Daisy's, then sneak back in through my window"
I grabbed my phone and started the text
Pops❤️: I'm gonna stay with Daisy tonight because the party isn't going to finish till late
Mumma bear 🐻: that's fine! Don't drink to much and make sure you get a safe ride back xxxx
We then jumped out of Ethan's car and headed for his bedroom, somewhere I hadn't been since I was about 11
"I swear your room hasn't changed" I said looking round
"Nope I like it, it reminds me of all the summers when we were little"
Looking round I now noticed all the pictures of me, him and Grayson, some even had Harry in
"Don't you share with Gray anymore?"
"Nah it got complicated when we got older, like when we both got girlfriends" he said awkwardly putting his hand on the back of his neck
Understandable really
I sat down on his bed like old times with my legs crossed, "Eth can I borrow a T-shirt this is kinda uncomfortable" he laughed throwing me a shirt of his chair. Ethan grabbed a notebook from his desk, we'd decided that some ground rules were needed if this were to be pulled off
Rules for fake dating:
1. Anytime we are around anyone from school we act like a couple
2. No one except Gray and Daisy can know
3. Our parents must not find out
4. At some point we may have to make out, don't think anything into it
5.If either want to stop we have to tell the other and explain the reasons why I.e if we like someone else
We agreed on these five
After a while of sitting thinking of more I spoke up
"Ethan I know that you get Ellie of your back from doing this but what do I get from it, except more trouble?" I asked
"Well you're dating the hottest guy in school" he jokingly winked
"Apart from that" I laughed
"What do you want"
"Can you help train me, I want to get toned and fit again, I'm gonna try out for the cheer team when we get back to school"
"I remember you used to love cheer, why did you ever stop?" He asked
"Truthfully, Ellie hated me when I got captain in middle school, it was easier to leave it in high school" I said looking at the floor
"Oh yeah I remember you used to be best friends, you even used to cheer together when we were playing in the back yard" he laughed and then got up grabbing a picture showing exactly that
We lay on his bed for a little longer with music playing in the background, Ethan got up moving over to his laptop and going onto Netflix
"Any film suggestions?"
"Parent trap, we used to watch it every weekend in summer" I said laughing
He put the film on and I managed to stay awake for about half of it before I fell asleep

Ethan's POV
I put the film on knowing full well Poppy would fall asleep half way through, she always used to, back then we'd always just leave her and go play outside, she'd come out looking for us eventually, sometimes crying because she'd had a nightmare
This time when she fell asleep I covered her with a blanket and propped her head on my pillow
I walked into the bathroom to get changed into the shorts I sleep in and then went back and lay down next to Poppy
I'd made the list of rules to show Poppy it was real, I didn't plan on keeping to them,
Especially when it came to making out, or acting normally when it was just us
I rolled over to face Poppy who looked so calm sleeping, she rolled over and I spooned her letting myself fall to sleep
