Today was the first day back at school, ugh
The day I had to face everyone with the title of 'Ethan Dolan's girlfriend'
We'd made it official a week ago and all of a sudden every girl either hated me or wanted to be my friend
Ethan had made the plan for me to ride to school with him, sit with him in every lesson and eat with him
So basically what Ethan did, I did
Simple

Another reason I wasn't looking forward to going back is because today...
...today is cheerleading tryouts
What Ethan had been training me for all summer
I was going for captain
And that meant going against Ellie

As Ethan pulled into the school parking lot I let out a deep sigh, making Ethan turn to look at me with a frown on his face
"Look Pops you'll do fine, you're the best cheerleader I've known, you'll definitely beat Ellie to captain" Ethan said placing his had on my knee
"Thanks Eth, I know I can do it, I just don't want to have to face Ellie after"
"Don't worry you have most of our year backing you now"
After that we both jumped out the car, meeting in front of it to lock hands and walk into school

Ethan's POV
As I grabbed Poppy's hand to walk into the school, I couldn't help get a feeling of confidence
Confidence on Poppy, all I can say is I'm glad I picked her to do this with, she's always been there for me, plus I wanted this for real
All I can wish now is that she wins the place of captain, unlike Ellie I won't have to plead all the cheer team to elect her, I know the team won't need persuading for Poppy
As we pushed open the doors to school all heads turned towards us, as I walked past some of the football team I did the mandatory first bump, when my eyes landed on Ellie I just smirked to myself and looked over into Poppy's eyes to make it look more loving
Although I've always loved her green eyes, they're different to most peoples'
Suddenly I was pulled to the side by her, as she opened her locker pulling out a couple of books for our lessons
That's when Gray approached us with his arm around Daisy
"So first day back, how's it going so far?"
"Great, I absolutely love being stared at" Poppy mumbled sarcastically
"It's alright it'll stop after a while, especially if you win captain" Daisy said excitedly
Try outs were after school when football practice on meaning I'd be able to watch on, plus who doesn't love girls in cheerleading outfits 
We made our way to maths and all four sat at the back with Daisy and Gray sat in front of us, I hated maths, Poppy was good at it though, meaning she could help me
The teacher rambled on about triangles and shit, as Daisy turned round
"So what's the plan for lunch where are we sitting?"
"Well you and Pops can come and sit on our table with the other guys and cheerleaders"
"Sounds like a plan" she smiled before the teacher told her to turn back round
Even though I could see Poppy cringing
