Chapter 23

The Leaders

ICE's POV

I arrived at school early since I have some paperworks to do. Susunod na lang daw yung iba kong members. Excused ako sa classes dahil ng task namin ni Black.

"You're late." I plainly said sa kararating lamang na si Black. I don't care if she's the rank one. We're both gangsters and napagutusan lang kami.

"As if I care." she coldly said and sit opposite to where am I sitting. We're both facing each other. She kind of reminding me of someone. That girl. Kesha.

"I'll check the girls, you check the boys." she said and we started our work.

We divided the student's profile into girls and boys and we classified it if they are elites or gangsters. As what she said earlier, she checked the girl's profile while I check the boy's profile.

We started reading the profiles and I might say that until now, there's no one who's qualified to be in the position for the rankings. Black on the other hand placed some profile on the other side. Maybe for her, they qualify as one.

After 3 hours of reading, I finished the gangster's profile and I've got some of them na pwedeng maging part ng royalties. Katulad ng ginawa ni Black, ihiniwalay ko rin ang mga profiles ng mga students na napili ko.

Medyo marami akong nakuhang profiles galing sa gangster na pedeng magkaposition sa ranking while kakaunti naman yung kay Black. Wala kasing masyadong girl gang dito and suspended pa ang rank 7 and 8 until now.

Pinagpatuloy ko na yung pagbabasa and another hours passed. Hindi kami naguusap since pareho kaming busy sa pagbabasa but it was not an awkward silence, instead its a relaxing one.

"I've finished mine." Black blurted out. Patapos na rin naman ako only 5 profiles to go. Tinanguan ko lang siya since I'm busy reading.

She started cleaning her desk and ginawa niyang half yung mask niya. Umubob na siya and I think inaantok siya.

Ifinocus ko na lang ang sarili ko sa pagbabasa para matapos na rin ako and after how many minutes, natapos na ako sa pagbabasa.

Ang plano namin is after naming magbasa ay maglu-lunch break muna kami then mageexchange kami ng mga profiles and aalisin namin yung mga hindi namin mapipili sa choice ng isa't isa. Bale, yung napili niya at yung mapipili ko sa girls at boys na profile ang makakakuha ng mataas na puntos sa profile at background checking.

Kinulbit ko na si Black at sinabing tapos na ako. Tumayo na siya at nagsimula ng maglakad palabas. Sumunod na ako sa kanya at nagderetso na kami sa cafeteria. Cafeteria ito sa Gangster building at marami-raming estudyante na rin ang nandoon.

Nasa klase pa sina Nathan kaya wala sila dito at ang kagang naman ni Black ay wala sa school. Wala silang monitoring ngayon since busy ata sila sa kung anong mission na kailangan nilang gawin.

"OMGGGG!"

"Did you see that? King and Black together?"

"Waaahhh! End of the world na ba?"

Natahimik naman silang lahat ng pumasok na kami sa loob. Walang ingay na maririnig kundi ang tunog ng mga sapatos namin. Much better. I really hate nosy places kaya mas kumportable akong walang ingay ngayon.
