Chapter Eleven
"Who are-" Adriel tried to ask, but before she could finish, his lips smashed into hers. She struggled against his firm grip, but he was strong. Really strong. Probably stronger than Adriel ever dreamed of being.
"Don't fight me, Adriel. I don't want to hurt you...yet." The man growled, continuing to slobber all over her mouth which she refused to open. He jerked her arms above her head, holding her wrists together with one hand while the other roamed her body. He touched her everywhere: her neck, her breasts, her stomach, and then settled between her thighs.
She immediately clenched her legs together as tight as she could, but she was no match for him. He wrenched her legs apart and started touching her in ways only Caym should be allowed. Fear, hatred, and pleasure became one emotion as his fingers stroked and probed her womanhood. She tried her hardest to wriggle out from under him, but it didn't accomplish anything.
The man pulled away for a moment, looking at the horror that must have been written on Adriel's face. His eyes gleamed with lust and evil, evil that could only come from one being. She had never seen her Lord, but she feared that that's who was looking down upon her.
"My Lord?" She whispered, hoping that she was wrong. Her Lord wouldn't ever harm her. She just knew it.
A cruel smile appeared on his face, strangely beautiful and horrifying at the same time. "My, my... You are a smart one, aren't you. I figured it would take you much longer to see through this disguise I conjured up. But, my little demons always have found ways to surprise me."
"Why are you doing this?" She croaked, fighting back tears that were threatening to erupt. He finally removed his hand from between her legs and loosened his grip on her arms, allowing her to sit up. He knew that she feared him too much to run.
Adriel was startled when he laughed at her, throwing his head back in amusement. "Oh, my darling. You are so innocent." He cocked his head, looking at her as if she were a pet. Adriel shrunk back into the couch, trying to put distance between herself and the evil man sitting across from her. "Darling, I'm Lucifer... If I want something, I get it. It's as simple as that."
He then stood up, turning so that he was facing her. His body began to change into it's true form. His lean arms began to swell, leaving behind thick, hard muscles. He grew even taller, looking to be even taller than Caym and Oriphiel both. His hair turned from golden brown to jet black, cropped short so that not one hair was out of place. His eyes were now emerald green, framed by thich, black lashes and brows. When the morphing was finished, Adriel gasped at the beauty that was in front of her. He was magnificent.
"Like what you see, my little demon?" He said, a cynical twist was added to his velvety voice.
"Yes, my Lord... You are quite beautiful..." She murmured. She was confused as to whether she should be fearful or in awe of her Lord's presence.
He chuckled lightly, stepping forward and sitting next to her again. " I assume you are wondering why I have come to visit you."
Her only response was a small nod. Adriel was trying to hide her uneasiness, but she knew that he could sense it. The closer he came to her, the faster her heart thumped behind her chest. She felt a trickle of sweat glide down her neck. The room felt like a furnace all of a sudden, and she didn't know if it was her nerves or Lucifer's doing.
"Well, my darling...The reason as to why I'm here is quite simple. I need your help with taking the universe away from God." His voice never changed, sounding completely confident when the words he spoke were insane.
"W-What!?!" Adriel exclaimed.
"You heard me. I want to be the universe's ruler instead of God. It's as simple as that."
"Excuse me for saying this, My Lord, but that doesn't sound so simple." Adriel said sheepishly, feeling her hands begin to shake.
He cocked his head, a small smile dancing at the corners of his perfect lips. "Isn't it though?"
The devil stood up once more, pacing slowly around the small, dark room. He was strangely relaxed for a man talking about taking over the entire universe. "You see, I believe with your help, it will be very easy." His smile widened.
"What can I do? I have little to no experience. Why not get a demon from a couple generations ahead of me?" She clenched her fists and took deep breaths, trying to keep herself from fidgeting in front of the man whom she has served her whole life. She didn't want his first impression of her to be "Scared, unworthy, demoness".
"Ah, that's where you're very wrong, love. You see, no other demon could help me as you can. None of them have the ties that you do." He stopped, tightening his tie and waited for her to take the bait. He was too smart for her, too cunning. Her knew that she would be curious and succumb to his wishes one way or another.
Adriel's head spun, processing his last words. "What ties?"
He laughed. She fell into his trap. There was no turning back for her now. "I knew you'd be in... The ties you have with the Angel of Wrath, Oriphiel. I want you to corrupt him into helping me."
"What!?! How and why do you think I would do that?" She stumbled through her words, her body now sweating profusely. She was suddenly thankful that she was sitting because of the dizziness that now overwhelmed her.
"Well, he's in love with you for one thing. You aren't far from loving his is the second. Yeah, I know you haven't met him bur a couple of times, but love rarely takes longer than that to start brewing between two people." He rubbed his hands together as he watched her reaction. She stared at him with her mouth hanging open, in shock of what he had just said. "That's what I thought." He mumbled, obviously taking her shock as confirmation of his assumptions.
"What are you going to do to him?" She whispered, her voice catching slightly.
"Nothing...If you help me. But if you don't, I'm killing the angel and your life mate, just to throw in a little extra incentive." Adriel's gut wrenched at the thought of Lucifer hurting either one of them. She all but doubled, tears streaming from her eyes. The situation appalled her, sickening her every time she played his words through her head.
"How do you suppose you're going to do that? Caym is one of the strongest demons in hell and Oriphiel is backed by all of heaven. He and his Fighters could stand against you." She said, trying to stabilize her voice.
He threw back his head with a mighty roar of laughter. "Darling, don't play with me. Caym? Yes, he's impressively strong, but guess what. I'm stronger...And Oriphiel, pfft.... Oriphiel's already taken care of. I have him hanging from the ceiling of hell as we speak." He smiled, causing nausea to build within Adriel. She looked at Lucifer with an icy glare, not a bot of respect left...Only hatred. But the fear was still there. And that's what pushed her next words through her lips.
"What do I have to do?"
