"I've missed your place." I said as I glanced over to Harry. He wrapped his arm around my waist as we walked down the long hallway of his house.
"Our place." He corrected me. "This is our home." He said. I nodded.
"Also, there's broken glass around the kitchen area and sink so don't go there, please. I'll clean it." He added.
"May I ask why there is broken glass there? And why it wasn't cleaned up earlier?" I criticized him in a joking matter.
He crossed his arms and leaned against the wall. "I'm clumsy."
"Mhm."
I walked around the living room, dragging my finger across the leather couches. I stopped in my tracks when I saw Harry's journal sprawled along the corner of the black love seat. I picked it up and flipped through the pages. It was halfway filled already.
"H?" I called his name. "Why was your journal just left on the couch here?" I asked. It wasn't like him to leave things around. He was very neat and tidy almost always.
Harry walked over to me as he dried his hands with a paper towel. His brow was furrowed.
"Oh.. that? I've been writing in it for a while now, I didn't finish writing yesterday because that's when I got the phone call you were in the hospital. I kinda just forgot about it there." He explained as he took the journal from my hands.
"Mkay." I replied.
Harry's phone began to buzz from the back pocket of his pants. He grabbed it and answered the FaceTime request.
It was Gemma. Her friendly face was on Harry's phone. He smiled at her.
"Hey Gem, what's up?" He asked.
"The girls wanted to talk to you Harry." Gemma replied through the screen. "Charlotte? Emilie? Come here please, Uncle Harry is here!"
The squeals of two little girls echoed through the vast halls of Harry's house.
"Gem, Alaska is here too just so you know." Harry said as the camera on his iPhone focused on me. I waved to her.
"...And you should meet your aunt Lass as well girls! Come here!" Gem instructed.
Suddenly, two young faces appeared on the screen. They looked to be about five years old. One had long, dirty blonde hair, and the other had short brown hair which was tied up into pigtails. Their cheeks were chubby, and they had the cutest little grins on their faces.
"Hiiiiiii Uncle Harry!" One of the girls said through the phone.
"Hiiiiii Emilie! You look so gorgeous in that dress. You too Charlotte. You are both so beautiful!" Harry said in a childish tone. He was in love with Gemma's children.
"Unc Harry? Is the girl beside you your wifey?" The young girl with blonde hair asked. Her voice was squeaky. I could feel the blood rushing to my cheeks.
Harry flashed me a smile as he continued to hold the phone in his hands.
"What do you think, Charlotte?" Harry asked the young girl.
Both girls looked at each other, laughed for a bit before turning back to the camera and squealing "Yes!!"
"Unc Harry, she's so prett-tay." The girl with pigtails said.
