(For your guys' sake, it may help to envision Donna Phair as Debbie Allen, Professor Golias as Charles Dance, Derrick as Jack Gilinsky, Cole as Cole Sprouse... :)

I could hear a mixture of chaotic and disordered voices coming from the other side of the head office door. The frosted glass made it impossible for me to read their facial expressions, however I could make out  the general shape of the people.

Professor Golias was in that room along with a woman in a blue suit jacket, who was standing across from Harry.

Every now and then Harry would slam his fist against the frosted glass in frustration. The argument had escalated during the twenty five minutes I had been sitting here.

The door opened slowly. I quickly looked down at my hands to conceal the fact that I had been watching intently.

Slow, heavy steps carried Harry to the chair farthest away from mine. He plopped himself down and exhaled as he rubbed his temples with his hands.

The door slammed shut. Murmurs were exchanged between Professor Golias and the woman.

I turned to Harry. My lips parted to say something, but no words came out. Instead, he was the one who spoke.

"Don't look at me that way." Harry said sternly, his eyes locked on the ground.

"W-What did they say..?" I stuttered, tapping my fingernails on the plastic armrest to ease my anxiety.

"I can't be talking to you right now." Harry answered quietly.

"Well, I'm gonna be the one going in that room next." I sighed. "I just don't know what to say when they call me in."

"You say it never happened." Harry instructed, his eyes finally meeting mine.

"All of this," He sighed. "Never happened."

I looked up to the ceiling and exhaled slowly to ease the tears that were beginning to well in my eyes.

"I'm just.. supposed to lie to-"

"The head professor of the art department and the owner of the Institute? Certainly."

"I just- you want me to lie? About us?"

"Do you want to continue studying here, Miss Dwyer?" He raised his voice at me. I was taken aback at his sudden change of tone.

I nodded frantically, pursing my lips and gulping. My eyes were watery and red as I tried to keep the tears to myself.

Harry sighed and pressed himself to the back of the chair.

"I want to stay here too." He said. "I need to keep my job, Alaska. If you won't do it for yourself, do it for me."

The door began to open. Both our eyes were locked on it. I shifted over, farther away from Harry and played with the ring on my finger to ease my elevating levels of anxiety.
