"Lass," I said frantically as I shook her body in attempt to wake her up. "Please wake up, love. Wake up, wake up, wake up."

Her eyes began to flutter open, and as they did so, her hand raised from underneath her and slapped mine away.

"Go away, it's early." She whined as she stuffed her face in a pillow.

"Alaska. We need to go. Now." I demanded, shifting my tone of voice so that she would understand that I was not joking around.

She caught on and began to sit up like a grown up instead of writhing and whining like a child.

"Wh-What's going on?" She questioned in a yawn.

"Get up, get dressed quickly." I said as I put on a pair of running shoes and a sweatshirt.

"Harry, I-"

"Stop asking questions, please just get ready and hurry." I interrupted.

She obliged and got up out of bed then proceeded to rummage through her wardrobe for a pair of sweatpants and a pullover.

"Ready?" I said as soon as she put on her top.

"Mhm." She responded as she unplugged her phone from the charger.

"Let's go. We need to go now." I demanded as I grabbed her hand and dragged her out of her apartment, locking the door behind me and running towards the elevator.

"Slow down, Harry." She begged. "Your legs are much longer than mine."

"There's no time for waiting." I replied as I pressed the Lobby button.

"Well," She panted. "Where are we going?"

"The hospital." I replied. "Something terrible has happened to Maddie."

"Please, pretty please get out of my way." I begged as I attempted to pass the group of nurses, doctors, and surgical interns that filled the ER.

My eyes scanned the chaotic room in search of someone I knew, but there was so much going on, I was out of luck.

I grabbed Harry's hand behind me as we made our way through the people and stopped in a fairly empty spot where I could call my friends.

"Do you know if Alice or Bella is here?" I asked Harry as I dialed Bella's number on my phone.

"They called your phone. I answered and they told me what happened, so I assume yes." Harry replied.

As the phone ringed and my anxiety built with every second Bella didn't answer my call, I searched the room some more to see if I could find her.

"Alaska," She sighed in relief on the other line.

"Bella? Where are you? What happened?" I asked frantically.

"Hold on, I think I see you." She said, and with that she hung up.

In a matter of seconds, a messy-haired, frantic Bella ran up to me and hugged me tightly in her arms.

Bella pulled away after some time. There was an incredibly sad expression on her face. Black streaks of mascara stained her cheeks and her red lipstick was smeared across her pajama shirt and her chin.

She walked over to Harry and hugged him as well. For a moment he looked a bit confused as to what he should do, but I gave him the okay and he placed his hands on the centre of her back and patted her reassuringly.
