Lin had recommended us to the National Junior Theatre Championships. Today's in school performance was going to determine if we were worthy enough to even go there. We started warming up almost immediately. Turning on our mics I started singing satisfied with Abby, Livia and Colton. Once we finished-- everyone was finished since we went last.
"Prayer Circle!" I yelled, everyone made their way to the stage. We all stood ina circle.
"So, Lin-Manuel Miranda recommended us to NTC-- Junior obviously." I spoke then everyone cheered happily, "so, they are here today to judge us to see if we're good enough to go. On the behalf of Mrs Castle, I want you all to have fun but also try to act the best you can. You guys are amazing, I love you all. Let's kill em, Hamilkids."
"Hands in!" Livia yelled.
"Don't say it." Colton started
"If ya don't mean it!" Abby finished.
"Hamilkids on three! One two three!" I yelled then everyone yelled.
"Hamilkids!"
And made our way to our opening spots. I whispered good luck and then stomped. Everyone turned their mics on and we started.
•after the performance•
I hugged Colton and he laughed.
"Slay Wifey, slay!" He kissed my nose. Abby ran over with Livia and they hugged me. We all laughed and chatted as we made our way to our lockers. School was over, woo woo! The cast was having a sleepover at school so we grabbed our bags and whatever we needed and made our way back to the stage. We all sat and sang, played games and just had fun. Tomorrow they were announcing who would go to NTC. I was nervous as hell.
