July 1, 2010

At sharp fifteen past seven, the warning bell went off.

The students, dressed in the dull aqua-blue uniform, hurried through the corridors to their respective classrooms.

It was the school re-opening day and commencement of the last year of our school life. Eventually, it had to be special in multiple prospects.

'Shouldn't we head in?' I ask Ayaan. He took another quick glance at his  wrist watch and let out strings of curses under his breath.

'They are late again. Fucking punks! I'm gonna beat their asses up.' He growled angrily.

Reason?

We decided to meet at our usual hangout adda, behind the basketball court before we'd head towards the café.

The impromptu meeting was scheduled at least thirty minutes back, but unfortunately none of our lazy ass lads could make in time because the bipolar fat off spring of Queen Of Starbucks was busy becoming a sloth.

Rohan Nanda, brute with matching bratty eyes, being the lazy kid on the planet seized the perfect opportunity to sleep away to his heart's content while we paced the length of the court like hungry beasts out of meat.

'Look at this pig!' Mihir shoved the camera in his face. And there his highness was, with his mouth open ajar, snoring loudly to hail the next tsunami.

'Choke him with that pillow he is drooling upon.' Ayaan hissed at the screen.

Over his shoulder, I exchanged a disgusted glance with Harsh.

'Umm...Ayaan, I think it's time we get in. We are already five minutes late. Ms Malpani might be taking the attendance roll.' I suggested sheepishly, knowing with finality how my request was going to be neglected.

Headless, Ayaan snarled at the screen and continued chatting away, waiting for Rohan to wake up arrive.

'Get up you ugly pig!' Mihir kicked his ass that made him fall on the floor with a thump.

"Huh!! What the fuck dude!" Rohan yelled whilst rubbing his butt.

"Are you getting up or should I call Saloni ?" Said Harsh as he threatened Rohan And that dear ladies and gentleman lead to a never ending argument like always the bickering started.
Confused? Are we? Then let me tell you about that story too, Saloni was a short story from 10th grade. So it all started in a late night party, where We were enjoying at party and were drinking and dancing when Rohan saw the girls basketball team captain Saloni, approaching the bar adjacent to our booth. Rohan being the biggest flirt approached the girl in his 'way' and the girl being a tomboy kicked his family jewel . The seen was hilarious and from that day onwards we never left a single chance to remind him about his absurdities.

"OKAY stop it you two" Ayaan yelled, entering in the room all ready to go. He was always the one who could control without even trying to do it. It was in his personality that he could check things in his own way. He was always the one among us who loved perfection in everything including looks, intelligence and many more such things. On the way other hand look doesn't matter to me. The soul does.
Soon we started our journey towards the new café on our bikes while enjoying the fast ride till there.

It didn't take us too long to reach the café. There we were at front the 'beyond temptation' café which was shimmering with lights and decorated with balloons. There on it's entrance hung A big border. A huge 'Welcome' was written on it in Italic fonts.
We hopped off from our bikes and entered inside the cafe. Strong aroma if coffee hit my nostril as A waitress around our age came and directed us to our table. Rohan didn't leave the chance to flirt with her and I just shook my head at that.
