That fight had been three months ago, Jade stood pacing back and forth chewing nervously on her nails. What was she going to do? Every suitor Terry had met in the past months had slapped him or he before they even started to talk.
Why did he have to be so difficult? Jade was starting to get really worried, the deadline was approaching quickly and Terry had shown no interest in the girls presented to him.
Jade hummed and looked over at the large dragon who looked at her sympathetically.
"Marmalade what am I going to do?" Jade asked as she laid a hand on the large dragon's nose, "If I can't find Terry a suitor then we loose custody of this kingdom and someone else will rule. My poor subjects.." Jade whimpered and laid her head on the reptiles snout.
"It's like he doesn't even want to try! It's like he doesn't care about it! Like he doesn't care about the kingdom or his duties! Alls he does is sit in his room and draw or sit in the garden!" Jade exclaimed and threw her hands in the air.
"It's selfish! I don't get why he just can't put his big boy pants on and get to it!" Jade hissed and looked at the dragon who rolled its eyes and rumbled.
"I don't need sass from you too Mar'!" Jade snapped and the dragon seemed to smile a little at that.
Jade huffed and climbed the steps back to her throne and plopped down in the plush velvet seat, "I just wish that a solution would stumble through that door right now!" She said and gestured to the door.
Jade sighed and closed her eyes for a moment before hearing the large door open and a man stumble in. He wore a signature deep, royal blue cloak, his boots had heels that clicked when he wales across the marble floor. The ribbon around his neck was a sharp cerulean color that represented his authority.  A signature, black silk witch hat sat atop his head as he walked in.
"My queen." He said in a deep baritone voice, he bowed out of respect.
Jade cleared her throat, "What is it you want Witch?" She asked and stared down at the blue clad figure right himself and stand to attention.
"I must inform you that the potions you've ordered for me to make are finished, I just wished to know when I should drop them off." He said and looked at her with calculated but relaxed blue eyes.
Jade scoffed and nodded, "I will send a servant to retrieve them, thank you Azure."
The Witch nodded and seemed to rock back and forth on his heels a little before snapping his fingers and disappearing in a puff of blue smoke only to appear next to the queen again, "Your almighty highness you look a little stressed, may I prescribe a little magic to fix your stressful strifes?" Azure asked and opened his cloak to reveal an assortment of quick potions.
Jade sighed and looked up at her personal Witch, "If I am to be honest with you Azure I am a bit stressed." She said and waved her hand to the potions to where Azure picked a few and started to mix them.
"What about?" The Witch asked as he shook the potions together in their new bottle.
"My brother, Terrance, he won't pick a suitor." Jade huffed and it seemed to catch Azure's attention,
"Prince Terry?" Azure asked, his voice going up an octave at the end to signal it was a question.
"Yes, every suitor he's met hasn't been a success. I don't know what to do, I mean how hard is it to just pick one they're all pretty!" Jade said and took the bottle she was handed and popped the cap. She tipped the glass orb back and drank the bright purple liquid, "Tastes like grape soda." Jade commented.
"I've been trying a new way to mix so it'd have flavor," Azure said and took the glass orb back and put it inside his cloak, "Sounds like a pickle your in my astounding wonderful saving grace queen." Azure said and smiled sweetly.
Jade looked at him and snorted slightly, letting out one of the most un-queen like laughs Azure had ever heard.
"You're doing that on purpose Azure!" Jade chuckled and put a hand to her mouth to conceal her smile.
"Correct!" Azure said triumphantly as he rolled the 'r'.
"Oh thank you Azure I needed that laugh." Jade said as her giggling died down and Azure took a bow and somehow made a rose appear as he handed it to his queen.
"Thank you thank you I'll be here all day, seven days a week, every month of every year." Azure said as Jade took the rose from his leather gloved hand.
"But really Azure, what should I do?" Jade asked as she twirled the rose between her fingers.
"Well, your highness, love is something that shouldn't be rushed. I believe that there's a soulmate for everyone out there. It just takes a bit of finding, I do hope to find someone myself one day just like I wish that for you." Azure said and he adjusted his cloak.
"Yes I know! But Terry is so-,"
"Fuckin' hot like damn how does he not have all the chicks...?" Azure thought.
"-So stubborn!" Jade said instead and Azure internally shrugged.
"I know your majesty, I have gone toe to toe with him before." Azure said absently.
"Yeah but I'd sure like to go dick to-" Azure's thought was cut off as he looked at the slamming door that had snapped him out of his thinking.
There stood Terry who's hair was messy from the wind, Azure swallowed thickly and a barely noticeable blush formed on his cheeks. If you didn't think the prince was hot then you were blind, and even the crazy blind guy outside agreed the prince was hot!
"Prince Terry." Azure stuttered as Terry climbed the steps to Jade's throne.
"Azure." Terry said and nodded to him with a smirk.
Azure could have died right there, his face erupted in a small blush as he stood to the side and watched the two siblings talk. He found it hard to keep his gaze on the ground out of respect, and eventually finding his gaze wandered to Terry.
Eventually, Terry had turned to Azure who gulped and stuttered a greeting out to the prince.
"Hello to you as well Azure, I'll be going now to leave you to your business." Terry said quietly but Azure scoffed.
"Actually! I'm finished here! H-have a wonderful day your highnesses!" Azure said and quickly left the room.
Once he was out, he closed the door and slumped against it, a small grey kitten walked up to him and seemed to smile.
"Hot damn." Azure breathed and hurried down the hall with the cat scampering behind him.
