Every Witch way.

Chapter 9

The ball was something everyone could go to, Jade liked to have her subjects there so they knew that they were just as important to her as every royal guest coming.
Currently, Terry was helping Comic get dressed, the uniform that the witch had to wear was quite tedious. He liked his unformal one better. The cloth on his formal one was tight. The witch was trying to pull on a pair od golden boots but it didn't really work out so he called in Terry. Who looked quite handsome in his tuxedo. Comic grunted as they got his other boot on.
The witch sighed heavily as he got up and went to go put his shirt on.
Just as he was about to put it on, he felt hands on his waist and Terry's presence behind him.
The two had been a bit more intimate because of what happened yesterday. Comic found himself enjoying it, but he knew it would stop tonight. Today was the deadline, Terry would have to choose a wife.
"Whats got you down?" Terry asked softly and pulled away long enough for Comic to pull on his shirt and cloak.
"Its nothing you need to worry about." Comic said and started to tie his bow around the jade jewl he had to wear.
"If something is wrong then I do worry about it." Terry frowned and looked at Comic who looked about ready to cry.
"Im gonna miss you..." Comic said softly and sniffed as tears started to roll down his face, "Im really gonna miss you." He said hoarsley.
Terry sighed and wrappes his arms around Comic who did the same and sniffled, "Im gonna miss you too.." Terry said and felt Comic lean against him more, "Im gonna miss you a lot." The prince said.
They stayed like that for a bit before Comic pulled away and laughed, "you better get going, the ball is starting. I'm sure I'll see you around." The witch said and then kissed the prince on the cheek.
"Be good." Comic said and then gave a sad smile.
"I will...you too." Terry said and gave the other one last hug before leaving.
The guards were there to get him, some asked how his stay was. Others joked around with rumors about the witch, in which Terry corrected them almost angrily. The guards shut up after that and they rode back to the castle in silence.

It was about three hours into the party and Terry still hadn't gotten a chance to talk with Comic. He saw the other in certain places but never got to talk before the witch was swept away.
Terry was snapped out of his thoughts when his dancing partner cleared her throat, "Hey dude you okay?" She asked and gracefully followed Terry's leading steps.
"Huh? Oh i'm fine." Terry answered bluntly.
The girl just laughed and brushed her fiery red hair out of her face, "I'm calling bullshit. Whats up?" She asked.
Terry seemed taken aback at her sudden use of crude langauge but just laughed, "Really its nothing. Just thinking." He said.
"Ooh about what?", the girl sing songed and moved her shoulders in a mock suggestive manner, "Lemme in on the juicy details gurl." She said which made Terry laugh even more.
"You really aren't like any girl I've met." Terry said.
"Im the one and only." She said and let the prince dip her.
"Say, whats your name fireball?" The prince asked and brought her back up and spun her.
"Jesse." She said and smiled brightly.
"Well Im Terrance, but you can call me Terry." He said and shrugged.
"Nice to meet you sire." Jesse hummed and laughed.
Terry laughed along with her and they continued to dance, sharing dumb jokes and stories. They made friendly jabs at each other and ended up seemingly to get along.
Which was great for the observing Jade who sat in her throne with her head butler and witch at her side, "Oh isn't this great! Terry has finally found someone that hasn't slapped the shit out of him." Jade said.
"Yes your highness its wonderful." The head butler said, he was also known as Gadspy.
"Azure isn't that grand?" Jade asked and watched as the witch just nodded in agreement.
"Azure, you haven't been talkative at all, you've rarely gone down and talked to people." Jade said and stared, confused as the witch just shrugged.
"I'm sorry your highness, I'm just not feeling it today." The witch said flatly and he stared down at Terry and Jesse.
Jade just sighed and turned back to observing the crowd.

The party was winding down and the queen was currently looking for her brother. Azure had disappeared somewhere and she needed to speak with him about the past few months.
Jade looked at a servant and motioned him over, "Have you seen the prince anywhere?" She asked and the servant nodded.
"Yes your highness, he's out in the garden with the witch." The servant said, he bowed and then hurried off.
In the garden with the witch, Jade thought to herself as she turned around and headed towards the garden.
The monarch eventually found her way out into the garden, she called out into the night air for her brother. She grumbled as she almost tripped over a tree root. The queen sighed and then continued searching, "Terry! Terry where the hell are you?" She called and stopped when she overheard voices.
The queen followed them and soon recognized them as Terry and...Azure's? Jade looked around and eventually spotted the two on the bench.
"I don't know what we're gonna do Comic." Terry said quietly and threw a rock into the pond in front of them.
"You just have to marry her. Its for the greater good Terry." Azure said and seemed to sink into himself.
"But thats not what you want! Thats not what I want." Terry said and threw his hands in the air.
"Whatever keeps you safe. I want you to be safe." Azure said, his voic was weak.
Jade stared at them with a confused look on her face. This couldn't be what she thought it was, Terry wouldn't be stupid enough to fall in love with a witch.
"I love you." She heard Azure say.
"I love you too." Terry mumbled in response.
Jade gasped quietly, no this couldn't be. Terry wouldn't do that. No..it was the witch's fault. Azure had used a spell on him. That little fuck. Jade growled as her shock turned into rage.
"What the hell do you think you two are doing?!" Jade yelled which made Azure jolt and Terry whip around.
"Jade!" Terry said in shock as he watched his sister storm over.
"Its not what you think-" Azure offered but was grabbed by the front of the shirt by the enraged queen.
"What the fuck is going on?! You two can't seriously be in love. Thats bullshit, Terry is too smart to even think about falling for your kind." Jade spat at Azure who tried to back away.
"Y-your h-highness let m-me-" azure tried again but was slapped across the face. A red hand mark welled on his cheek just like the tears in his eyes.
"No!" Jade roared and dropped Azure into the grass.
"You," Jade growled at Terry, "Back in the castle!" She screamed.
"But-!" Terry tried but was stared down by Jade.
The prince actually backed away, he knew what his sister could do. He had to get help, he had to find someone. So the prince gave one last look at Azure and then ran back inside.
The seething queen turned back to Azure who was rubbing his cheek, "You dirty little liar! You promised to help out but you curse my brother just for him to be in love you with you?! Thats sick! Disgusting! Selfish!" Jade raged and stared down at Azure who was shaking violently. His eyes were wide and tears rolled down his cheeks as one of them were red and actually bleeding from the force of the slap.
"You are sentenced to live the rest of your days in the dungeon." She spat and motioned for a servant to go get the guards, "Disgusting."
Soon the guards came and lifted up a shocked Azure. They put shackles on him, two bunny monsters were the head of the royal guard. They were siblings, they were nice and kind to Azure. They were actually the first friends he had made.
But now they were carrying him to his fate.
"Sorry Azure." The girl said, her name was Aurora.
"Yeah bud, we're just doing our jobs. No hard feelings. Besides, I think its cute you and the prince like each other." The boy said, his name was Gabe.
"Its okay you guys.." Azure whispered quietly. Tears rolled helplessly down his cheeks. Not because he was going to prison, no because he had seen the look of pure terror and shock on Terry's face. That was the first time he had seen Terry cry. The prince had been screaming his name and trying to get to him, tears rolling down his own face. Only to be stopped by the guards.
Azure almost gagged at the smell of the dungeon, it was wet and grimey. The witch was then put inside a cell, given a tooth brush, toothpaste, a pillow, and blanket and a roll of toilet paper.
"Can you guys take care of Merci for me?" Azure asked as he gripped onto the bars of the cell as Gabe locked his cell up.
"Definitely." Aurora confirmed.
"Thank you." Azure said and wiped away his tears. He had been given some gauze for his cheek. He was thankful for that.
"We'll come check on you later." The two said and then left.
Azure sniffed and watched them go. He stood there for a moment in silence, wallowing in self hatred for himself.
"So you're down here because you fell in love with my son?" A voice said.
"Cavalier?" Azure asked gently.
"The one and only, but answer my question dearie." Cavalier said and looked at him sideways from her cell.
"Yes ma'am." He confirmed and felt his chest tighten in pain.
"Poor boy." Cavalier hummed gently.
"Are you mocking me?" Azure asked.
"No dearie. Being down here has given me time to think, i was horrible to my kids and I deserve to be down here. You don't. You just loved my son, and I'm so happy you do." She said gently.
Azure nodded as more tears rolled down his cheeks, he hiccuped and started sobbing. His small body crumpled down into a heap as he wrapped his cloak around him.
"Shhh let it out hun." Cavalier coaxed and hummed a song as Azure sobbed and cried. Practicallt screaming in emotional pain.
"Son, do you truly love Terry?" Cavalier asked and watched Azure nod.
"I love him very very much ma'am." Azure said and sniffled.
"Does he love you?" Cavalier mumbled
"Y-yeah he d-does." Azure said.
"How do you know?" Cavalier asked and looked at Azure fully now.
"Because I feel it in every kiss or hug I got from him. I felt it in his touch and his words and his eyes." Azure said and wiped his eyes.
"Then go get him." Cavalier said.
"Wha-?" Azure said as he climbed onto his bed and covered up.
"Then go get him. But not now, you need sleep dearie." The demon said and because to sing softly.
It was in demoniks, a langauge spoke only by demons. But it was pretty, so it helped Azure fall asleep. Thought the witch missed the warm presence of his familiar...and Terry.
