Comic woke with a start and sniffed slightly. He groaned at the ache in his back, the small witch eventually sat up and rubbed his eyes. At first, he didn't know where he was until the cold hard reality slapped him in the face and made him realize what had happened.
"You're awake." A female voice echoed through the dark prison.
"I am." Comic said gently and sighed.
"Good now you can eat." Cavalier said and the sound of chains clinked against the dirty stone.
A tray was slid into his cell through a small door, he walked over and grabbed it. When he looked up he saw the gentle and kind head maid, Maybelle.
"Maybelle?" Azure asked and walked over to the cell bars and gripped them. His chains were heavy and hurt his wrists.
"Yes, how are faring? Are you in any pain? Terry requested that I bring you some more gauze for that nasty wound." She said and reached her hand easily through the bars and touched the gauze on Comic's cheek.
"Terry requested that?" Comic asked gently and pressed slightly into the warm hand.
"Yes dear. He's really worried, he and his sister got in a huge fight last night. But..Terry lost." Maybelle said and clicked her tongue.
"Is he okay?" Comic asked tiredly as he looked up at Maybelle.
"He's quite alright. He says that he misses you, but since he lost the fight with his sister. He has to marry today." The head maid sighed and tapped her foot on the hard stone.
"Who?" Comic asked and left the bars and looked down at the tray.
"That nice girl, redhead. I think her name is Jesse. She's from the emerald district down near Salt river." Maybelle explained and handed Comic some gauze.
"Ah." Was the only response Comic gave as he took the gauze and thanked Maybelle for the meal.
Once the maid left, Comic sat down and started to eat. The food didn't taste as good as his own, but at least it stopped the hungry ache in his gut.

Terry paced around in his room, his shoes tapped constantly as he continued his back and forth path. He didn't get any sleep the night previous, he wasn't allowed down in the dungeon to see Comic. He had already heard rumors about the witch, he had already blown up at a few people for them even believing the idiotic gossip. The prince snarled and stopped in his tracks as he heard a knock on the door.
"What the hell do you want?" Terry snapped and the door opened to reveal his sister.
"You need to get ready, your bride looks beautiful." Jade said calmly which seemed to make Terry even more irritated.
"I don't give two shits about that, what I give two shits about is what you did." Terry growled and stared at his sister.
"What I did was sensible, clearly that witch has cursed you and you're just speaking on account of that spell." Jade dismissed with a wave of her hand.
Terry just snarled and his magic lit in his hands, before he could even make a move. The prince was slammed back against a wall, he hit it was a loud cracking sound that would make anyone sick if they heard it. He scrambled at the wall and tried to move but the feeling of constriction tightened on him.
"You can't afford any more magic drainage little brother." Jade said icily and narrowed her eyes at him, "You know it. You need to get ready. The ceremony will start soon." The queen said and dropped Terry.
The prince fell to the floor with a gasp, he pushed himself up just in time to watch his sister leave. Terry wiped away tears that had started to well, he knew there was no hope. He would have to rule, he would have to marry, he wouldn't get to see Comic ever again. But instead of crying over it like he had last night, instead the prince put on the emotionless face again and sluggishly got up to start getting ready.

"You want me to do what?" Comic asked as he gripped the bars and peered over at Cavalier who was leaned up against the far wall and hidden in the shadows.
"Get mad." Cavalier repeated and looked up at the ceiling, "And in fast because the ceremony is starting." She said.
"B-but I don't know how getting mad is gonna get me out of this cell." He said and looked up as well. He could hear feet and people laughing. As well as music.
"Your emotions are connected to your magic. If you get mad, then your magic will react and you will break the bars." Cavalier explained which made Comic groan.
"The only way I can think of getting out is melting the bars, and I'm an ice witch. I can't make fire." Comic said and itched his nose.
"Haven't you ever heard the expression, 'So cold that it burns'?" Cavalier said and he could see the shift of her dress.
"I mean I guess." Comic said and sighed.
"Then close your eyes, and get angry." She said.
"But I'm not angry. I don't even get angry easily." Comic argued and stamped his foot slightly.
"Yeah your are, you're angry right now. You're just suppressing it. Look, close your eyes." Cavalier said.
Comic grumbled and then closed his eyes and let out a deep breath, "Okay."
"Now think, think back to what happened. The queen has no right to tell you who you shouldn't love, she has no right to accuse you of cursing. Terry is being forced to marry someone else. That's not right." Cavalier said.
Comic felt a hot, and yet icy feeling creep up into his chest, "You're right that isn't right." He mumbled.
"No it's not. So what are you gonna do about it?" Cavalier coaxed as she watched frost start to creep from Comic'a hands and feet.
"I'm gonna get out and I'm gonna give the queen a piece of my mind." Comic said lowly, the icy feeling got colder and colder.
He could feel anger boiling and bubbling in the pit of his being, rising quickly and making freezing ice envelope his entire cell. He could feel the bars getting weaker, more brittle and ready to break. Comic almost growled as raw power surged and the temperature dropped dangerously low, and yet he felt warm. Warm with the red hot anger and loathing for what had happened coursing through him. And with that, and one hard yank backwards. The bars broke, ice chipping off of them in the process. When Comic opened his eyes, he saw he had froze the entire dungeon. Cavalier was smirking and nodding to him. Comic smiled and nodded back to her before he started pulling viscously at the bars. They snapped cleanly and he let them clatter to the floor. Soon, he had a hole large enough for him to fit through, so the witch stepped through and looked around.
Suddenly foot steps thundered down the stairs and a few young guards stood a little ways away from him. Comic stared at them, they seemed to startle into action and charge forward.
"Freeze." Comic said and lifted his hand, with a flick of his fingers. The guards froze in place. Ice crept up their legs and held them in the mid run.
The witch then slipped past them and started upstairs, every step he took. Dark ice spread and coated every inch of what he left behind him.

Terry stared straight ahead, he stared at his bride. She did look pretty, he wasn't going to lie. But he wasn't attracted her. Well, he wasn't even really staring at her. Just a blank look on his face, that he hadn't known she shared at the time. The priest droned on in the background, Terry was wearing one of those common king capes with a nice suit under it. He didn't wear the crown yet, instead his hair still slightly messy. He didn't like what they had tried to do to it so he messed it up and fixed it his own way.
Terry couldn't believe this was happen, a dull ache set in his chest and he tried not to tear up at it.
A chill began to crawl up his spine, that was new. Usually he was always warm, he hardly ever got cold. Just as he was about to dismiss it, people started to screech that the floor was freezing over.
Terry looked down and he could see, dark blue ice racing its way towards him. He braced for it to freeze him but it simply glided under his feet. Terry thought it was stop when it hit the wall, but no it's kept covering every inch of the room. The temperature dropped towards freezing. People were in panic, Terry didn't even know what was going on. Until he heard doors slam open with a gust of chilling wind.
When the prince turned to look, he saw a seething figure standing in the doorway. His signature cape billowing out behind him the icy wind that surrounded his being. His eyes were white and smoking almost. The figure, was torn and looked dirty. His hair was messed up, he has multiple tears in his clothing and cuts on different pieces of his body.
"Comic...?" Terry asked under his breath.
