A house party
Cara's POV
"You are going to wear that dress whether you like it or not and you are going to that party!" Amanda said as she shoved a black bodycon dress into my face.
"Never!" I hissed as I clawed the dress way from my face like a demented cat.
"Come on! You have to socialise with the normal people from our school." She insisted.
I narrowed my eyes at her.
"Being normal is disgusting."
"Look, just get out and have fun. You need a break from all the drama you've gone through. Let lose for a bit yeah?" She sighed, making one last attempt to convince me to go to the party.
I thought of a while. Maybe I should let lose just this once. I mean, it won't kill me. I think?
"Fine fine. You owe me. If I die, I'm going to haunt you for the rest of your life." I warned her.
"Yeah, yeah. Now get that sexy dress on your sexy body and I'll do your makeup!" She exclaimed, throwing the dress yet again in my face.
Bless my soul.
"Manda! This dress is ridiculous! There's no way in hell am I going to wear it to a party full of drunk hormonal teenagers!" I groaned.
"Open the door woman! Let me have a look." She replied.
I reluctantly opened the bathroom door while trying my best to pull the hem of the dress down.
"Cara, dude! You look amaze balls! Ryan is not going to be able to resist!" Amanda squealed.
My eyes widened, shocked at what she said.
"Manda, I don't like him and he doesn't like me. I'm definitely not dressing up to catch his attention. I thought that you advised me to not get involved with him?"
"Sorry... but the more I look at both of you. You guys seem like a pretty good match." She admitted.
"You're insane." I laughed.
"Hey! Anyways, let me do your makeup." She said as she sat me down on her bed.
After what seemed like forever, both of us were done and ready to go.
"Mom we'll be heading out now!" She shouted to her mom as we walked to the front door.
"Wait! Let me take a picture of you'll, you guys look so beautiful!" Amanda's mom said, whipping out her phone.
"Thanks Mrs Bloom!" I told her.
"Alright give me the address of whatever this guy's house is." I told her.
"You're not going to use that death machine to get home after the party." She narrowed her eyes.
"I'm not going to get drunk. I don't drink remember?" I told her.
Earlier that day....
"Yo Manda! Remember I promised you that I'd give you a ride on my bike?" I asked her with a sly smile.
"Oh no, no, no. That's not going to happen." She said, slowly backing away from me.
"Would you like me to kindly tell Chase that you like him?" I asked evilly.
"You wouldn't dare..." she stuttered.
"Oi! Chase Osbourne!" I shouted across the parking lot. He looked up for his group of friends and gave me a questioning look.
Amanda shrieked in terror and hid behind me.
"Fine! I'll do it. Just, please don't call him over." She begged.
"Nice car you've got mate!" I shouted again.
He gave the thumbs up before returning to his conversation with his group.
Amanda heaved a sigh of relief.
"Now hop on. I'm giving you a lift home." I smirked as the blood from face drained.
I handed her my spare helmet and turned on the intercom.
Amanda hesitated for a while before shakily swaying her legs over my bike.
"Time to have the ride of your life! Hold on tight and please don't squeeze your eyes shut." I told her through the intercom.
Let's just say that I traumatised Amanda.
Present day
"Your bike is cool, but it's way too dangerous. I almost died!" She exclaimed.
"Dramatic as ever, " I rolled my eyes. "Fine, I'll let you drive me."
"Thank God, " she said. "Alright we better hurry."
"Indeed, we shall." I laughed.

You hear it before you see it.
The party music got louder as we approached the house. And let me tell you this. The neighbours ain't going to be happy. I'm surprised they hadn't called to cops to shut down the party.
It was 10 pm and there were already drunk teenagers spawn on the front lawn and people making out like there was no tomorrow.
"And you tell me why I don't like parties..." I mumbled as Amanda dragged me inside the house.
"Hot stuff, want to have some fun up stairs?" A drunk guy asked me as I walked pass him.
"No. And fuck you." I replied, walking off to catch up with Amanda.
"Manda, let's find the kitchen!" I shouted over the music. She nodded and asked a girl where it was.
"Finally! Fresh air! I can breathe again." I said as we reached the kitchen.
Someone behind chuckled, causing me to whip my head around.
"Cara right?" The boy asked.
"Yup. And you are?" I asked back.
"Malcolm." He replied.
"Wait. Aren't you friends with Ryan? I think I saw you with him that day you guys decided the pick a fight with Andy." I told him, suddenly recognising him.
"Yup."
"Cara, I'll be around the house. Try to find me if you need anything." Amanda told me before going to the living room.
"Your whole gang's here?" I asked Malcolm.
"Yeah. Most of them are playing beer pong. I came to the kitchen to get more beer for it." He informed me.
"Cool. I'll make sure to not go there." I said.
"Of course. You hate Ryan." He laughed.
"No, I love him so much." I said, trying to keep a straight face.
We both burst out laughing, not taking me seriously.
"Yo Mal, what holding you up?" A familiar voice called out.
God damn it.
I have never been to a house party before, so if the next chapter is quite shit. You know the reason why.
Also, I've watched videos on house parties, and honestly, their not very appealing.
Hoped you've enjoyed this book so far :)
