Chapter 16

CJ

Cara's POV

Throughout the day, that scene played in my head on repeat. I couldn't concentrate on any of the lessons, and even during PE, I couldn't perform my best on the run.

I did my best to avoid him. Even Amanda could tell something was off, but I refused to talk about it. I myself was confused as hell.

Tuesday was no different, until lunch.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Andy asked me in the middle of class. "You haven't been listening at all, and you couldn't even answer Mrs Fawcett's question."

I snapped out of my daze and turned to him.

"I don't actually know myself. I'll tell you during lunch." I told him.

Andy nodded and continued listening to the lesson while occasionally glancing at me.

Why am have I been so worked up about this? Why does he make me so confused? And worst of all, why is he taking up so much of my thoughts?

I met Amanda at her locker with Andy tagging along.

"Woman, you better tell me what's up. You haven't been yourself lately." Amanda demanded.

"We'll get our food first then I'll tell you guys." I told them.

And so I did. I told them everything that happened.

I don't know who reacted better, but it sure was a stark contrast between the two. Amanda looked she was about to faint of happiness, grinning like an idiot while Andy's jaw was clenched so tight, I'm pretty sure it he was close to shattering it. And not to mention, his fist was probably clenched too.

"I told you! I told you! I told you!" Amanda squealed.

"Told me what?" I asked her.

"Dude, you've been living under the Dwayne Johnson." She said. "It was pretty obvious that he has a thing for you! Not to mention, he didn't deny it when Queen Bee asked that!"

"As you know, I'm quite oblivious and blind when it comes to emotions. Considering the fact that I have a stone heart." I joked.

"But seriously though. I knew it was coming sooner or later." She said.

Andy still remained silent as he listened to our exchange. I can't blame him, we were talking about his arch enemy.

The bell rang and we got up to throw our trash away.

"Hey, even though I don't support this, I can't stop you. But, I won't hesitate to beat him up if he hurts you." Andy told me.

I hugged him and smiled. "Thanks mate, I too, won't let him touch you. And if he does hurt me, we can beat him up together." I told him. Andy smiles in response.

"Time to see lover boy!" Amanda sang, dragging me away from Andy.

"See you later yeah?" I asked him.

He nodded before walking off to the other direction towards the other school block.

"Can you not call him that. I have very mixed emotions right now." I told Amanda, with a straight face.

"Alright, alright."

The moment we walked into the classroom, our eyes meet.

He smirked but I managed to keep a neutral face. Unfortunately, there were 2 seats left, one at the very front and one next to him. Amanda rushed to the front seat before winking at me. I sighed before making my way to the seat.

I could feel him glancing at me ever do often and I chose to ignore that.

All of a sudden, a piece of paper appeared on my table.

It wrote : CJ, why are you ignoring me? Did I do something wrong again?

I shot a glare at Ryan before scribbling down an answer.

First off, don't ever call me CJ. Second of all, you should know the answer to your own questions. Don't disturb me anymore. Bye.

I crumpled up the note before tossing it at him.

Advanced maths went pretty smoothly, considering the fact that Daniel and I patched things up.

Mrs Young practically gave up telling us to shut up, and gave us a 2 day detention. Whatever.

The bell rung, signalling the end of school. Daniel and I walked out of the door only to be stopped by Ryan himself.

"Cara, can I talk to you for a moment?" He asked which sounded more like an order.

Daniel opened his mouth to protest but was silenced by Ryan's signature icy glare.

"I need to talk to you." I retorted. "Daniel, I'll see you tomorrow." And with that, Daniel bid his farewell.

I grabbed Ryan by the ear and dragged him through the hallway. As soon as I found an a empty classroom, I pushed him in and locked the door.

"Holy shit, woman! You're not my mother. You almost tore my ear off." He exclaimed.

"Stop being a baby. Now let's get straight to the point." I said, pausing for effect, "What's the deal with yesterday's stunt?"

"I don't really know how to put it in words. It's hard to describe what I feel towards you." He admitted.

"This makes it worse. What you did yesterday, made me so fucking confused. Now, I don't even know how to feel towards you!" I said in frustration.

"Look, I'm confused as well. Hell! I'm fucking hopeless at these kind of mushy thing!" He exclaimed. He paused for a while, before dropping the bomb.

"Go on a date with me." He said.

"Excuse me?" I asked, astonished.

"Go on a date with me." He repeated.

"I heard it the first time," I told him " I...we... what..." I was at a lost for words, unable to answer him.

"I know it sounds crazy, but give me a chance to show you who I can really be." He said, trying to convince me.

"Hold on. I need time to process everything that has happened so far," I told him "We just got to the stage where we can only tolerate and not kill each other."

"Think about it alright." He said as he stared at me with yet another hope full look.

"Give me till Sunday." I replied.

"Sunday."

Yooooo have any of you ever dragged a boy by the ear? It's quite fun. I'm so sadistic haha.
