Sooo... what to write about in this chapter... I thought and thought to myself. You'll love this chapter (or else you'll hate it. It's like Marmite!). It's about Valkyrie BEFORE she was 12. In this chapter she's 7. PS: I know in the book it says she didn't see Skulduggery before... I am IMAGINATIVE!!

Valkyrie's POV
He broke into a sprint. I ran after him. "Mister!" I screamed. "Please! Come back!" Suddenly I felt the air ripple and saw him with his hands clenched in the air. I started feeling light-headed. "I saw... fire on your... hands..." I whispered as the world slowly went black. The last words I heard were, "I'm terribly sorry," before the earth swallowed my body and I fell into a deep, deep sleep.

Skulduggery's POV
I screamed as the Necromancer's powers slowly took my jawbone away. This was pure agony. I clicked my fingers and threw my flame as the Necromancer shrieked and fell to the floor.
Then I heard a voice, "W... what?" I turned around and saw a little girl, about 6, maybe 7, staring at me like I was a monster. Well, I suppose I am, to mortals, but anyway. She was pale, and shaking. "How... how... fire... and and and..."
I cursed. I thought no-one used this alley anymore. They obviously did. So I ran like hell. Unfortunately, she followed, yelling. I clenched my hands and slowly took away her air. I felt terrible, but I couldn't let her remember me. So, when she fainted, I sprinted away, glad I got away again.

Yeah, I know. Short chapter. My BFF loved it, but she likes everything, so I'm not sure that counts. Still, I was happy to be complimented. SOOOOOOO.... yeah, just send me your ideas and stuff, and I'll see what I can do.
