I sat waiting for an hour and a half. I decided enough time went by. I sprinted to Ryan's to find his car pulling out of the the gravel driveway and quickly driving away.
I sprinted after it, and then I saw her hair blow in the wind as she rolled down the window. She was the one driving. I ran faster, there was no one else in the car with her.
I followed the car out to the city. She parked the car in a store parking lot, and just as I was about to walk up to her, she started walking away. I decided to see where she was going.
She knocked on the door of a two story house. Josh Dun answered the door. Part of me wanted to rip his head off, but the majority of my brain told me to just leave them be. They looked happy. She looks happy without me.
So I stayed where I was, hiding. I would leave her be, but I was going to watch over her. Incase anything happens.

I woke in my hiding spot. I sat there for a second then I noticed a car going by. It wasn't just any car, it was Ryan's. He drove by Josh's street and kept going. I could see him looking around in the driver's seat. He had found the car and was looking for Y/N.
Nope. Shit. I've got to get her out of here. Out of this city.
I walked right up to the door, and knocked. Josh answered and was immediately shocked, and went to close the door. I however held it open with my hand.
"I'm gonna cut to the chase. I need to see Y/N, and we need to leave."
   "N- No. You-"
"Okay. You don't trust me. I didn't think you would." I opened the door all the way, and pushed past Josh.
Y/N was sitting on the couch.
"Brendon?" She ran up and gave me a hug. "What are you doing here?"
"Wait? Y/N, what are you doing?" Josh asked.
I looked at him. "You've missed a lot." Then I returned my attention back to Y/N. "We need to go, Ryan know's you're in this area. I saw him driving around looking for you. We need to leave this city. The farther the better."
"Okay, yeah. Let's go then." She walked toward the front door, where Josh was still standing.
"What the hell are you doing Y/N?" he asked.
"Setting things right. I'm sorry, Josh. Thanks for everything." She said and hugged him.
"Come on, we gotta go." I said curtly, not wanting to see them hug.
"Bye, Josh." She waved and walked out the door. I went to follow.
"Brendon?" Josh asked.
I turned. "Yeah?"
"Take extra care of her."
"It's my top priority."
I walked out to Y/N who was out on the sidewalk.
"So how do you plan on getting anywhere?" she asked.
"Train, maybe a bus."
"Yeah, screw that."
"What do you mean?"
"Come on." She took my wrist and walked down the street and stopped next to a car.
"Um, Y/N, life isn't Grand Theft Auto."
She smiled and rolled her eyes. "Sure it is. See this car, it's a cheap rust bucket. It won't have an alarm." She walked over to the driver's side window and kicked the window in, the glass shattering loudly.
"What the hell Y/N?!" I yelled.
"I don't see a faster alternative do you?"
I was quiet. The Y/N I remember would never do this.
"Thought not." She reached into the car and unlocked it. "Get in." I got in and so did she.
She then reached down to under the steering wheel. "What are you doing?"
   "Hot wiring it."
"Where did you learn to hot wire a car?" I asked.
   "...high school."
Then the engine roared and she sat up. She looked to me. "You wanna drive?"
   "Yep."

We had made it out to an old two lane country highway. No one was on it, and all that was around for miles was farm land.
"Y/N?"
"Yeah?"
"Um, are you- are you okay?"
"What do you mean?"
"You've just been acting different, that's all."
She was quiet for a second. "I know." She said softly.
"Well, what is it? Is it Ryan? Has something-?"
"Brendon?"
"Yeah doll?"
"Ryan's car's behind us." I looked in the rearview mirror, and sure enough, there he was.
