I could hear her heartbeat rise in her chest, and it thrilled me. A game had started, and she was the golden prize. Now there was no enemy, so all the time in the world for fun.
I had never seen things this way. There was always good and bad, now there are just choices, ones for power, ones for fun, ones for lust, and for everything in between.
I was sure to disappear by the next time she blinked her eyes. I could have stayed, watched to know exactly where she went, but I already knew. She could try to skip town, buy a plane ticket, call an old friend who lives far away and ask to stay with them, but no matter what ideas Ryan had put into her head, or she has fooled herself into believing, I still knew her all too well.
Her friends and family are still looking for her, while their despair grew more and more with each passing day. She knew this, and I'd bet my life, in this world or the next, that she wouldn't be able to stay away for more than a month at the longest.
Though in the mean time, I was free to weave chaos into her world for when she came back to it. Chaos that would eat away at her, but I could make disappear with a snap of my fingers.
First thing's first though, clear my name and allow my free roam of the city. I made my way to the local police station. I was greeted as soon as I stepped through the door with many guns pointed at me. Why I don't think I'd ever had such a warm welcome.
I was cuffed and taken into an interrogation room. I couldn't help the smile on my face, this was cute, how they thought these handcuffs could hold me. They obviously didn't learn from the first time. Though I also found it humorous, that they were so oblivious as to what I could really do.
"Mr. Urie, you have be accused with murder, and have slaughtered many police officers. Are you aware of this?"
"Nope." I popped the 'p', and smiled.
The officer sighed and sat back in her chair. She then looked to the psychiatrist that was standing in the corner behind me. He obviously didn't give her much help as she just looked back to me.
She pulled a picture out of a yellow file, and slid it on the table in front of me. It was Y/N.
"We know, you know her, so we're just going to skip past that part. Do you have any idea where she is?" She asked rather pointedly.
"Beautiful girl, I wish I knew. I vaguely remember her, she was a fan. We had some...fun, in a hotel suite." I smirked. "Sadly though she disappeared after that."
"You and I both know that's not true. You saw her at another concert date, we have multiple witnesses that have all said you brought her up on stage."
"Did I? Sorry some things just blur after a while."
The psychiatrist then walked in front of me, sitting in a metal chair next to officer. He wore a white lab coat, with his name embroidered up above his chest pocket, holding a pen in side it.
"Brendon, we understand you had feelings for this girl, you cared very much about her. Perhaps you loved her too much, so you took her away from everyone. She freaked when she found out about the murder, so you took her for yourself. We only want what is best for her, to bring her home."
"Dr. Hyren, is it? I don't know what you expect or want me to say, but I don't have and I don't know where this girl is." I spoke, looking in his eyes, focusing on what I wanted him to think.
As time went on I had both of them completely under my influence. Two little puppets that would spread the idea of my innocence to many more. They let me walk, and I was sure, would keep me from being arrested once more.
Next stop was a two story duplex. It was a nice home, with an even nicer owner, who was kind enough to move out and let me live in his house with no charge. Man what a nice influenced kind of guy. The view from the house, of course, was just beautifully perfect.
I went to the kitchen to make a pie, which of course took a long five seconds and a snap of my fingers to make. That's when I realized I should probably freshen up, though for fear of the pie getting cold, I just waved my hand to do so.
I made my way across the street and knocked on my new neighbor's door. She opened the door, and froze in fear. I knew she'd be scared, and was prepared for chase or such, but this made things a lot easier, to which I was glad for.
"Hello. I just moved in across the street. I thought I'd make a pie for my new neighbor." I smiled, meanwhile laughing on the inside. By the look on her face she obviously did not expect me to do something so mundane.
"Y-you're a murderer..." Her voice was much more monotone then you'd expect. She said it as though it was a common thing to say. I was fascinated by this.
"I have never hurt a person in my entire life." I looked into her jade colored eyes, and worked my influencing charm.
"Where's Y/N?" She was a fighter, I could see why Y/N was friends with her.
"I'm not quite sure who that is, sorry doll." I gave this empathetic look, winning her over. This was going to be fun. I couldn't wait till Y/N would arrive to find her old world in disarray.
