My Virtual Boyfriend

CHAPTER 2

I immediately entered the elevator for how many times today and pressed the button to 5th Floor with the GLITCH ORG card on my hands.

Ding!

I literally jumped as the elevator opened and made my way to my flats.

My laptop was still lying on my bed in sleep mode. Sitting on my fluffy and extremely huge bed, I placed the laptop on my lap and started typing the given link.

My fingers tensed with excitement as the monitor says,

"WELCOME TO WORLD'S ONLY ACCESS TO VIRTUAL BOYFRIENDS! PLEASE BEGIN BY JOTTING THE SECURITY PASSWORD GIVEN"

I scrabbled on the keyboard. It got me few minutes to finish typing the forty elements correctly. I got confused on the capitalizations and symbols.

My heart started pounding with excitement as the system loads the list of the remaining guys.

"YOU ARE THE 44th LUCKY ACCESSOR OF THE -MY VIRTUAL BOYFRIEND-. SCAN FOR THE LIST OF THE REMAINING MALE CANDIDATE AND CHOOSE WELL.

NOTE: YOU CAN'T CHANGE YOUR CHOICE ONCE YOU CLICKED THE 'I CHOOSE HIM' BUTTON BESIDE THE PROFILE OF THE CANDIDATE. HAPPY CHOOSING!"

And after that, pictures of guys can be seen on the monitor. Most of them are labeled TAKEN and as I scanned the whole list, only six guys are free.

I checked them one by one.

Name: Cameron Halter Davis

In his profile, he looks like a model! Black haired, happy looking and he is the boyfriend type based on the aura his eyes gives off.

Name: Karlson Adrian Chua

Also breath-takingly handsome and he looked nice and a Momma's boy. Golden hair but not my type.

Name: Tyron Oliver MaxWell

My eyes bulged as I studied his looks. He is the kind of hunk whom you'll want to be with. He looked like a bad Greek God.

I was about to click "I Choose Him" when my eyes landed on the fourth candidate. I zoomed in his photo and noticed that unlike the other candidate, only half of his face was shown.

Name: Loi Thaddeus Yu Heiress

I can see through his mask a pair of silver eyes with blue specks. His hair color is dark brown and his lips was pressed in a grim line.

"Camera shy man?" I blurted out smirking as I pressed the button "I Choose Him" beside his profile. He is a mystery and I love mysteries. I found his character intriguing and different than the others.

His profile was already labeled TAKEN and the system loads and says, downloading content....

I waited and waited and then suddenly an application named "MY VIRTUAL BOYFRIEND" appeared on my desktop and my phone rings. I can't recognize the ring tone because it's different from the one I set.

I checked it and was shocked to see that it was also installed with an application the same with what's on my laptop.

I wondered at first on how did it ever happened but then shrugged it off. I finally have my boyfriend! I started the conversation by saying "HI!"

I saw three jumping dots which simply means he is typing.

Loi Yu Heiress: Hello

Is this some kind of programmed application just like SIMSIMI? Or omething which is already recorded? I hope not. I just spent three million for this.

Loi  Yu Heiress: You still there?

No name: Yes.

Loi  Yu Heiress: What's your name?

No name: Aedelle Kellie McKenshin. But you can call me Di.

Suddenly, my name popped out on the conversation.

Loi  Yu Heiress: I already added your name :) Can you give me a nickname Di?

I paused for a while and think of a nickname for him.

Di: I'll call you Cupcake.

Loi  Yu Heiress: Tell me you're not seriously giving me that name. Sounds gay to me.

Di: What about My Property?

Loi Yu Heiress: I'm not a land or something.

Di: You dont like it?

Loi Yu Heiress: Can't you think of uh, anything quite better and less cheesy?

Di: Okay I'll call you Loi.

*The nickname Loi is successfully registered!*

Loi: So, you are a rich.

Di: Not really.

Loi: You say not really? We are sold for a high cost.

Di: Well sort of. I guess? But why are you hiding your face Loi?

Loi: Hiding what?

Di: Your profile picture. Only half of your face is shown.

Loi: I cant tell you. It's a secret.

Di: Virtual Characters have secrets?

Loi: You have so much more to know.

Di: That's why I've chosen you. You are a mystery. I guess the one who created you is an intellectual geek. Maybe they've given efforts in creating your character.

Loi: They INDEED took lot of time to create me.

Di: Do you have a nationality?

Loi: Japanese American

Di: Really?! I'm also half American!

Loi: Great.

Di: Can I call? I mean I hope this application provides voice communication as well.

Loi: I can do it, I'll try.

Di: Really?! Call me. Great! I'm starting to love this app!

Loi is calling......

My heart pounded fast on my chest as I saw him calling. I dont know that this virtual guy would make me really excited.

I answered the call and my heart almost sunk as I heard a manly husky voice from the other line.

"Uhh, hi?"

This is the part where I changed the main character's name from Loi Drake Yu Heiress to Loi Thaddeus Yu Heiress after receiving some feedbacks. Further chapters may still have "Drake" on it, I apologize. I'll be editing the chapters slowly. Thanks!
