Chapter 32

"What's your plan young man?" Aedelle's Dad asked while twirling a pen on his fingers. He is in deep thought since his only son is in the hands of a dangerous mafia. "Tell me what you know about this REDS Clan." he said. "I mean EVERYTHING" he emphasized.

I heaved a deep sigh. The assassin's rule is to never disclose any information to a non-assassin but Sir Rylan isn't just a normal person and his son's life is on the line.

"The REDS started off as a family of vicious assassins- the Redsiklons. They don't have a name in the record of assassins. What placed them to where they are right now is when they started killing owners of small businesses. They killed hundreds and the killing became out of control that the government gave them name and property. The REDS silenced, their crime lessened since the government made a deal with them."

"What kind of deal is it?" 

"The Government will give them property and a business to run in exchange of that, there should be no more aggressive killing in the country. The agreement continued for years until I came into the picture. The Yu Heiress and the Redsiklons are supposed to merge business to become more influential but my Grandfather doesn't trust the Reds and we later found out that they are also planning to bring our clan down so we severed the agreement. We cut all our contact to the Reds and it made them furious." I explained.

"Did the government stopped pursuing them?"

"They are not on the priority list since they haven't actually killed anyone YET. And another illegal group of people surfaced. You knew of it, the Glitch Organization. The government are keeping an eye on them the most. We have to provide the government an evidence that the REDS are trying to harm people again."

"We have no solid evidence and the REDS are careful in keeping traces this will be tough. So tell me honestly Drake, what should I do? The government won't touch the REDS but they have my son. The pictures sent on Aedelle's phone is not exactly a solid proof that it was the REDS' doing."

"I got a plan sir."

"I hope that plan doesn't include YOU walking in danger." he eyed me carefully.

"Danger is a synonym of an assassin's life General. I am the one who lead the REDS to you and your family so I should take responsibility." I am afraid Yes, but there's no guarantee I'll survive and if I can save Aedon. But i have to try. I have to move fast since they are not really into waiting. I am who they need. I'll give them me.

"Aedelle won't like it." General Rylan exclaimed.

"Then don't tell her please." I begged.

General McKenshin stood up from where he is sitting and tapped my shoulder. "Return safely son." 

I forced myself to give him a small smile and left his office.

I retrieved my phone and dialled a private number I never thought I'd ever use.

After like two seconds of ringing, a voice answered.

"And reality slapped you hard you called. What is it partner?" he asked mischieviously.

"Don't call me partner" I hissed. 

"Sure thing partner. What is it? Why did the great Loi Drake Yu Heiress who told me to fuck off for the rest of my life called? How long has it been? Eleven years? twelve?" he chuckled.

"Listen to me Park Bintri it's a serious matter."

"Sure sure, I love serious matters."

"I need you" I finally uttered. 

"Damn" he said on the other line.

"Yes, you can double it." 

"Like damn damn? What trouble have you gotten yourself into Drake?" and he is now serious. Park Bintri is also an assassin reaper. We are supposed to be partners for we trained together since when we're young but I decided in the later years that we'd be able to solve more cases if we work separately. Despite his swift and smart moves when fighting, he is very talkative and annoying. One of the many reasons I don't want to work with him.

"The Redsiklon's kidnapped a person"

"And?" He asked and I heard his careless shuffling of this stuff again.

"That person happened to be close to me." I said.

"Will be there in a minute or two. You going to shoot someone or not?" 

"Depends. Just be on your full suit." I ended the call after sending him the location where we will meet.

Upon reaching the location, I saw Bintri waving at me. Despite the seriousness of the situation, this guy hugged me and kissed my cheek.

"Yow biggie boy" I smiled. I don't like his talkativeness but I like him because like what I've said before, we grow up training together.

"So who are we going to kill?" he questioned.

I smacked his head. "We are not going to kill anyone as much as possible. We will rescue a person."

"Is this person your relative or something?" he inquired. "Just give me a name boi"

"Aedon"

"Aedon, hmm I haven't met that cousin of yours." I smacked his head again.

"He is not my cousin you shithead. He is my girl's brother." I said and I felt a pang of pain on my chest. Aedelle's still mad at me.

"Holy cow! Let's get this over and done with and let me meet that girlfriend of yours." He said as he buckled up his night backpack.

"Right" I said.

"Okay. So be a good bait and give me atleast twenty minutes to look for that Aedon guy and get him out of the place." 

We started sneaking into the warehouse that the REDS told us to.

Here's the address, come alone.---

"Will you be okay though?" Bintri asked. "Last time I checked, you and the REDS aren't exactly friends."

"Don't worry about me. Just follow my instructions and bring Aedon to safety. You stay alive too."

"Touche"

I started to walk inside the warehouse and I saw Bintri sneaking and jumped in the roof. Still sneaky as before. The house is located in a very isolated place where your scream won't be heard by anyone within one kilometer radius. I checked for anything like traps, laser beams or a welcome shot but there's none.

As I entered the warehouse, I was welcomed by someone I didn't expect.

Someone familiar.

Someone I know.

That person gave me a wide smile.

"We met again."
