CHAPTER 12

"Um, I'm sorry about earlier." Drake said breaking the silence.

"Excuse me?" I asked while checking his face for some clues as to why is he saying sorry.

He scratched the back of his head like a kid.

"For being a umm you know, for acting like a kid." he said shyly and I can notice the reddiness of his ear.

"It's fine with me. How did you find me by the way?" I asked him as we took a seat in the plain grass looking at the bright stars in the night sky.

He stared at the sky and sighed.

"I listened to your conversation with that old hag. I pretended to be sleeping so I listened further to your conversation and then I followed you when I finally came back to my usual self.I always have my ways." he explained.

Only I can see was his eyes and the movement of his lips.

"Thank You." I said as I look at him.

His gaze landed on me and he showed me one of his genuine smile. "It's my job to help you, save you and make you safe." he said as he leaned on me and kissed my forehead.

I suddenly blushed like a ripe tomato and he noticed it as well. He chuckled then ruffled my hair.

Again, What's with them messing with my hair?

"You're cute when your blushing." he said as he gave me a wink. I suddenly punched his chest only to realize it was as hard as a rock.

"And that's bullying." he said as he acted like he was badly hurt.

I smirked at him but it suddenly faded.

"Why are you still wearing your mask? I already saw your face anyway." I said.

He suddenly grinned. He leaned on me and whispered something on my ears.

"So you are already accepting the cost huh?"

His hot breath fanned my neck giving me goosebumps.

"What was the cost again?" I asked even though I could still remember it perfectly.

"You have to be my girl." he said as he look at me straight in the eye.

My heartbeat suddenly paced faster. Here we go again.

I have to think for a while. I just have to be his girl. I can't even refuse. Why? I am not noob not to see how perfect he is. He is an ideal guy. I know it in myself that I dont know him well but I am more than willing to get to know him more.

I smiled at him as I give him a nod. His smile widened sending a lot of butterflies on my stomach.

"So you are now my girlfriend." he said while grinning.

"Not that fast Yu Heiress." I said as I placed my hands in front to stop his attempt of hugging me.

"Why?" he said sadly as if the world decided to eliminate him.

"I wanted to experience being courted first since you will be my first boyfriend if ever." I said as I shyly look at the ground. Dad is always over protective with me and Aedon. I haven't been in a relationship with anyone before not because Dad dont want to. It is because Dad would always seek for someone who is not better enough, but because he's eyeing for someone who is the best.

His hands found my chin and he lifted it to level our eyes. He gave me a small smile which gave me tingles.

"Aedelle, courting wouldn't be a problem if it will be you. I will wait no matter how long it takes if the only finish line is you. And I will assure you, we will be each other's first and last." he said as his eyes focused on my lips and our distance started to move closer.
