My Virtual Boyfriend

CHAPTER 1

I scanned the website where I just signed in a minute ago to check the validity of this cashy Virtual Application.

"MY VIRTUAL BOYFRIEND" is a newly launched application to test human and bots' ability to interact efficiently. I smiled and thanked the genius behind this amazing app. I can finally have a boyfriend of my own in the virtual world.

I scrolled up and down trying to read the details when suddenly an ad popped up saying,

:"We're running out of characters! Come & Grab the man of your choice before the time is finally over!"- Glitch Org.

I gasped upon seeing the ad and started panicking.

This can't be happening.

Without shutting down my laptop. I sprinted to Dad's office which is on the 7th floor. It is much of a marathon because my room's in the 5th floor.

Beads of cold sweat glistened on my forehead as I pass by glass doors.

I abruptly halted in front of the elevator as it swayed open, I reached Dad's office without knocking and before my brain could even process the information that he is in a middle of a very important meeting, I bursted out, "I want to have a boyfriend"

My face turned red as sixteen pairs of eyes stared at me, amazed.

"Whoa. Calm down young lady. What is it again?" Dad asked.

Though ashamed, I dont wanna waste any time. Dad will understand anyway.
"I want to have a boyfriend."

I heard murmurs from the board panel saying they will be suggesting their sons and arrange a marriage with me as soon as possible. I even heard someone talking on a phone in a rush saying, "Hurry over the YH Building and bring the best flowers this world could offer."

I scoffed.

"I mean. I want to have a boyfriend. Not a real one but virtual." I cringed at what I'm doing but again, I ignored it. I'm good at ignoring things anyway.

"What do you need Aedelle?"

That was my cue. Dad knows that I can have whatever I want. He gave me everything I asked and in exchange, I give him good grades. I do have my credit cards but I only have a minimum of 500,000 to spend a day. And now, I'll be needing 3 million pesos for this virtual thing.

"An access of 3 million pesos Dad." I simply replied. It was just a little scratch on Dad's wealth.

Dad simply sighed and then reached for his phone. He contacted the bank that handles my credit cards and in a few seconds, he nodded and I gave him a quick tight hug!

"You're the best daddy ever! I squieked and Dad slightly laughed.

"You'd better be careful of choosing your virtual boyfriend and he'd better not hurt my princess or else I'll smash him to pieces."

"You can't hurt a virtual character Dad."

"Go on Princess. Buy that virtual character of yours and better keep going I still have a meeting to continue."

"Ye dad. Bye!"

Dad replied with a smile. I apologized to everyone for butting in their meeting but they all gave me a sly smile in response.

I decided to quickly return to my flats. As I am waiting for the elevator to descend, a silver sharp metal stopped it from closing and I smirked.

A practice sword to be specific. I smiled.

"Hi Di." the owner of the sword said.

"Yo A.D." I replied grinning.

He is a replica of me. With his auburn clean cutted hair and dark blue eyes that matched my auburn wavy hair and big blue eyes, anyone can quickly notice that we are twins. We're just like a girl and boy version of each other.

"You didn't attend the training little fella." he said. Calling me "little" was his all time favorite.

"The champion can always skip practice." I replied with a proud shrug.

He grinned and then pinched the tip of my nose. "Yeah yeah. You always win Di." he said as he ruffled my auburn hair.

"You up to something or somewhere?" I asked.

"Nah. Just gonna take quick nap on my flats. 'boutcha?"

"I'm gonna go buy myself a virtual boyfriend." I said with a fake smug face. I suddenly jolted straight as the elevator swung open and I run immediately.

"I'm in a hurry!" I shouted to A.D as he look at me with a questioning look.

I reached the bottom floor, to the exit and immediately started the engine of my red sports car. I drived all the way to the nearest branch of Glitch org

It was a fine 9 o'clock in the morning when I reached my destination. I entered the huge elite building and two well armed guards opened the transparent glass door for me. The main color used of this building is silver, gold and purple.

My eyes roamed around the room and it stopped on a wide plaque. GLITCH ORG with a wolfsbane flowers under the golden linings. I smiled at the workers who greeted me as I walk to the payment area.

I gave my credit card to the one in charge. He handed me a card of GLITCH ORG and at the back, there are more than 40 jumbled letters and numbers are on it.

"What am I gonna do with this?" I inquired.

"There's a link above and you only have to enter that link. The network will ask for the password with 40 characters so you only have to copy that password and you will be given the access to the virtual world to choose your character. You can call our office if something went wrong." The guy with brown hair and green eyes explained.

I nodded at him as I look at the card I'm holding. This is it.

"I am Greñus Mirunawa by the way. And thank you for trusting our organization. I hope that you can choose well." he said as he invited me for a handshake.

I smiled sweetly at him as I gave him a handshake. "Aedelle Kellie Mckenshin sir."

His smiled turned to a nervous look as he eyed me. "McKenshin?"

"Ah. Yes, I'm the daughter of General Rylan Douhart Mckenshin." I replied while studying the expressions he is trying so hard to hide.

"Oh, okay. That explains the similarity." he smiled and despite his professional looks, his smile looks forced.

I hopped into my car with the card on my side pocket. As I hold the wheel, the image of Mr. Mirunawa popped in. He looks so nervous, afraid and startled after I introduced myself.

Our Family is influential and well known but eventhough Dad is the General of the US Military, he is always passionate and kind to the people around him.

But seeing Mr. Mirunawa's expression earlier, what's wrong with him?

I shook my head and shrugged it off. I just drove all the way home and smirked. I'm finally going to have a boyfriend!
