I opened the apartment door and found the neighbor on her phone as Andi slept on her lap. I walked over and thanked the lady while picking up Andi.

It still left me confused how children could be picked up in their sleep and NOT wake up. Like, damn, they some heavy sleepers.

I put Andi in her tiny bed and closed her door.

"Thank you so much again." I said, softly. She laughed.

"Anytime, love." She smiled, then left. I closed the door behind her and locked it.

"Ace, are you okay?" Will asked. I stood quiet, not knowing for sure. "That's a stupid question." He walked over and hugged me, resting his chin on my head.

"Damn our drastic height differences." I laughed softly. Will chuckled and I smiled. I missed that laugh. I looked up and saw his smile. I missed that smile.

To think, I gave up on Will for Yuma. Yes, I know, my perverted ex-husbands name is weird as hell, but I loved him. Emphasis on the ed in loved.

"I'm sorry I left." I whispered. "I didn't think I could handle it then, but now..." I didn't finish my sentence. He already knew.

"It's fine." He said, quietly. "What can we do for her?" Will asked.

"I mean, there's always talking it out? I'm just scared she doesn't want to be around any guys again." I sighed. "I'm scared that she'll be scared."

"I get it." He sighed and pulled away from the hug. He stared at me and I stared back. I had no clue what he was thinking, but I knew what I was thinking.

"Come with me to Italy." I whispered.
