"Shut up!" I laughed.

"What? It's cute!" Alex chimed in. I giggled and stuffed a hand in my pocket. He just complemented my nose ring. Then he started to compliment my eyes, my hair, my tattoo- shit like that. My face began to heat up once we made eye contact. He was even better than before. "I'm sorry about the job." He began. "But my manager said to get someone who wouldn't distract me." I bit my lip and blushed again.

"What do you mean distract?" I asked, smirking. Of course I knew the answer, but I wanted to hear it from him.

"You're too beautiful. You'd distract me all day- hell, you're distracting me right now." He gushed.

"Suave, mijo." I giggled.

"You're Hispanic?" He asked, excited. I nodded.

"Yup, Cuban/Italian." I said, proud. Even though I was still mad at my mother, I couldn't help but still love her Cuban culture- our Cuban culture.

"Damn, so you know three languages?" He asked. I nodded.

"But I'm better speaking Italian than writing it." He nodded and took a bite out of his ice cream, as did I. We were currently at a local ice cream shop after the interviews. This was to make me feel better that I didn't get the job, but he offered my others. My phone chimed and it was Anna.

"Sorry, I have to take this." I said, excusing myself. I got up and answered the call outside.

"Yeah? What's up, Anna?" I asked.

"IM LONELYYYYY!!" She sobbed.

"Woah woah, Anna. What do you mean lonely?" I asked.

"William and I broke up and now I'm sad and you already ate all my favorite cereal and-" she sobbed loudly to end off her sentence.

"I'll be right over." I sighed. I hung up and walked back inside. "Hey Alex, I'm so sorry, but my friend really needs my right now."

"It's fine, I have your number anyway." He smirked. I walked out and sighed. He was ducking sexy, sweet, and everything I wanted and needed. I began to walk towards the house. When I made it upstairs, Anna was sobbing on the couch with a bit of cereal and milk in hand.

"What happened, love?" I asked, throwing my arms around her. Well, I know, but break ups don't usual hit her as hard as this.

"I miss him.." she cried. "I miss him and I cuddling, and eating, and kissing, and playing video games, and going out- I miss it allll!" Her sobs rang throughout the apartment, as that was never a good sign.

"Did he hurt you?" I growled.

"No. He just broke up with me.." she hiccuped.

"So why are you crying then?" I asked. I looked down to her area and I face palmed. When she was on her time of the month, she took everything hard. She would cry a lot or get angry quickly. I sighed and began to head up a little diy sock heat pad in the microwave while making some tea.

I'm a really good friend to this girl.
