Chapter 8

WHERE WE ALL BECAME FAMILY

"My Gents let's take a shot for everything we have been through !"
We downed 5 shots each, on for each of the biggest moments in our lives
The first one was for me who had  kissed over 60 girls in one night...
Second was for Ace for getting an Afro and walking into a bar saying he was a chosen one to drink everything !
Third was for David for being locked up in prison for being a fake artist...
Fourth was for Theo for getting his license and taking us drinking till we were awake for 3 days
And the last was for Tristan who actually got married...

As we drank away the night my memory became more and more blur, the next thing I remember waking up to was Estelar on my chest...
"Morning baby."
She gently kissed my chin...
"Morning...what happened ?"
"You never remember do you ?"
"When I do I'll let you know."

She got off me and went to take a shower, while I gently reached into my draw to make sure she couldn't find it... gods she didn't... I'll only let her see what it is later tonight when the time is right...

"Estelar baby... how long have we been dating ?"
"From today it will be 2 years !"
"I know it's today."
"You better !"
Fuck time flew past ! I think it's Perfect to use my gift for her tonight...
"I made reservations for us tonight by the way !"
"Oh really ? Where ?"
"That new fancy place you wanted I try out, down the road from where Tristan is studying."
"Oh I hear it's beautiful."
I gently mumble
"It will be beautiful when I show you why I have planned for you."
"What was that ?!?"
"Oh nothing !"

I get up and once she gets out the shower I start to undress and start to rinse the stench of alcohol off me body, while focusing on the water I let myself drift off into space.

FLASH BACK TO LAST YEAR

"So in other words based on Einsteins theory  È=MC squared, we are able to understand how fast the wheel will spin causing a reaction to the metal bearings over here and here which will cause... Yes  Ryder what could it possibly be ?"
"Sir your wrong..."
I get up and walk to the front of the class and I begin to circle 3 areas..
"These will be the areas affected by the metal bearings which will cause this place...
to just increase the speed..."
"My god his right..."

"Please would Ryder see Mr.Robs at the end of the day..."

What could he possibly want you might think ? Well I was thinking the same...
But where am I right now ?
Well after 2 years of being with Estelar I'm in my second last year of studies and I am a classified engineer but if you can remember those guys who broke into our house and nearly hurt my younger siblings ? Well let's not ruin the surprise....

Later that day I go to see Mr. Robs and he sits me down,
"Listen Ryder you busy being distracted by this girl... what's her name ?
"Estelar..."
"Well you love her right ? Well then you need to help us.."
Two men walked into the room...
One man was wearing a tight suit outlining his body, while the other was a mixed height and a semi built but you could see his gun.

"What must I do ?"
Now shit gotten serious... they will hurt Matty, Emily, and Estelar and all my mates,
"Build us a machine that runs on its own energy that it is giving..."
"That impossible.."
"Not for you..."
"Then man with the gun he will take you to a safe house where you will work and we  fund all your work."
"Here's your fone and you will use when we call  , understand ?"
He had a foreign accent and you could tell he was from South America...
" yeah I get it..."
I took the phone and it was a flip phone that had that stupid ringtone...
" we done here ?"
"Well call when we need you."
"And when will that be ?"
"Now."
I feel a hard hit at the back of my head....

I gently begin to wake up...
I'm hanging with my wrists tied above me and my top is torn and blood is dripping from my face, I take a look at my watch trying to see the time and date...
March 5th.
The next day after I was knocked out by this bloody foreigners,
I look around to see if I can get out...
there's a camera,
There's a table with my bag and my jacket,
And a huge machine...
I guess that's what they want me to build...
I can tell I'm in a warehouse because of the windows are high above me and a second floor...

A man walks in, semi built, blond hair and very short, I'm like double his height...

"Dis is boy ?"
He points to me looking behind him, while the men who were with Mr.Robs and I yesterday...

"Will you do good work ?"
He asks me and he gives me a small look and lands a hit in my left rib...

Back to the present

I gently fall back into reality as Estelar hugs me from behind...
"We gonna be late baby.."
"Okay I'll get out now."

She winks at me and gently kisses me and leaves, God I love her, and thank the universe she loves me back.

I get out the shower and she is leaving the room saying she is going to her friends dorm to get ready for our dinner date...

Later that night I quickly fix my shirt and buckle my pants and I just adjust my hair,put my watch on and grab my car keys, my wallet, MY phone and the stupid phone the foreigners gave me...

I look around to see if anyone was watching and I reach under my pillow and pull out...

A small black box....
