Partners for life

We get to the warehouse and the blood stains on the floor in front of the warehouse door, my partner and I draw our guns, we look at each other, and slowly get out of the car.

We both aim at the door, it looks as if it was broken into, we avoid the blood stains and go around the building so we can see if anything is going on.
As we approach the end of the warehouse, we can see parked vans, there's about four of them so there should be about 16 me inside if the building. We need help...

"You ready partner ?"
"I was born read !"

He gives me a look that should encourage me but I use the facts and the resources we have to say what we do next. Yet it doesn't help at all, but I smile so I don't show my true emotion.

My partner stands on the left of the back door of the warehouse, and I stand to the right. I hold the handle, and my partner nods his head, lifting his gun the the side of his head, aiming inside of the warehouse.

As I slowly open the door my partner aims inside of the warehouse, but lowers his weapon when he sees no one is inside.

"Are you leading us on a wild goose chase ?"
"Of course not, it's just I thought they would be here."
"Maybe they were here before ?"
"Take a look inside while I look inside of the cars."

He nods his head and goes inside of the warehouse, I turn to the cars and drag my fingers on the side of the door, while my other hand reaches into my back pocket to pull out skin tight, black gloves and I put them on as slow as I can just to waste time.

As I slip my hands into the gloves, I open the passenger door as slowly move my hands around, I take a look everywhere but I can't find anything that would give me an idea of where they would be or would have gone, maybe my partner would have found something interesting inside of the warehouse.

I turn towards the warehouse, and then I start to notice the warehouse looks more like a barn, has a red, worn out paint and white broken down roof. You never know, maybe some of the guys were farmers, or they killed the farmers...

As I walk towards the back door I hear a gunshot, my partner is screaming for my help, and more gunshots go off. As I get to the door I draw my gun and barge into their and take cover, I take a few deep breaths, and I get up and aim. There's men in suits who are shooting at my partner, but thank god his under cover and still alive.

My partner and I are repeatedly going over cover, firing our guns, hitting the targets who are trying to kill us, as each one goes down, one by one we grow closer to getting out of this hell hole.

After about 10 minutes of taking cover, firing, and taking cover over and over and over, but there's only a few people are left. They each shout at each other to retreat, they each grab their guns and run through the entrance and jump in their vans and drive off...

My partner runs after them taking his phone out and taking photos of their number plates, at least the photos were clear enough for us to get registration on the vehicles to see if we can know who they are.

"HQ I need a registration on the photos my partner sent you, and let us know ASAP..."
"No need, they belong to a car hire company not too far from you."

I turn to look at my partner...

"Okay thanks..."
"So they hired so they wouldn't be traced ?"
"Maybe we should go to the company and see if they could identify the men."
"Maybe one of us must, and the other can go back to HQ to see if we can find anything else."
