“Let’s go this way,” I said to Harry. We were walking around Target looking for nothing in particular. It was another boring day and we both had off from work.

He took my hand in his and put his sunglasses on even though it was a cloudy day out and he was indoors. I smiled at him and we walked down the large aisles.

“So what exactly are we looking for?” Harry said as we walked down the shoe aisle.

“Nothing… Oh! Look at how cute those are!” I exclaimed. I let go of Harry’s hand and picked up a pair of flowery wedges. I got really excited and I took my flip flops off and slipped them on. I stood up and I was the same height as Harry.

“The world looks different at your height,” I said.

“I’m not used to being eye level with you,” he smiled at me.

“I would definitely break my ankle if I got these,” I said and I started to walk around in them. Harry watched me.

“Do you like them?” he asked.

            “I don’t know… I feel like I would never wear them if I got them… I just think they’re cute,” I said. I took them off.

“I will never understand why girls love shoes so much,” Harry said.

“I’m not even half as bad as some girls are…” I said looking up at him. I was kneeling down undoing the little buckle on my left shoe.

“I had a girlfriend once and she was obsessed with shoes…”

            “Really?” I asked.

            “Mmhmm…”

“Well I’m not so I hope that’s not a turn off or something,” I teased. I put the shoes back in the box and put it back on the shelf where I got them from.

“Oh babe, it’s a turn on,” he put his hands on my waist and pulled me closer to him.

“Harry…” I said staring at him.

He kissed me, “Got you,” he smiled.

I kissed him again, “Got you back.”

He took my hand and we started walking, “You’re so sneaky.”

“Another perk of being awesome,” I said smiling.

We walked around for a little while longer and ended up in the candy aisle.

“Oh! Junior Mints!” I took a box off the shelf and put it in the red Target basket we had picked up. Harry grabbed a Twix bar. I looked at the shelf.

“You know what…” I mumbled and I started taking a bunch of different boxes of candy off the shelf and put them in the basket.

“Good job Maya,” Harry said laughing.

“Well I can’t just have one so we can share,” I smiled.

“Sounds good,” he replied. We left the aisle with our basket half full from all the candy I picked out.

“Let’s go down here…” I said pulling Harry along.
