I looked around the table and I felt Harry’s fingers entwine themselves in mine.
“So what did you two do? Anything special?” Emilee asked.
“The whole trip was special,” I replied with a smile. Okay, that was corny. She smiled at us and we went back to eating dinner.
Once we were finished we all helped put the dishes in the dishwasher.
“We should get going…” Harry said.
“But we didn’t get to see Zayn and Camille yet,” I said pouting.
“Sweetie, we’ll see them tomorrow,” Harry assured me.
“WE’RE HOME!” a Bradford accent called from the foyer.
“ZAYN!” I yelled and I pushed past everyone so I could run and give Zayn a hug. He looked scared at first, but didn’t fall back when I practically ran into him.
“I missed you too Maya,” he said laughing.
“No hug for your best friend in the world?” Camille asked standing next to him.
“Sorry babe,” I said winking but hugging her also.
Harry said hello to Zayn and they started talking while Camille and I caught up on each other’s lives. Work didn’t change and we got a new guy employee named Ashton.
“Is he cute?” I asked.
Camille nodded and I laughed.
“I hope you’re talking about either me or Zayn,” Harry said walking over to us and wrapping his arm around my waist.
“Yep,” I replied with a smile.
“I think we should go,” Harry said.
“Fine,” I replied. We said goodbye to everyone, grabbed our suitcases, and walked out the front door.
Around an hour later, we walked through the doors of our apartment building.
“Harry, Maya! How are you?” David asked at the front desk.
“Hey David!” I said smiling. He knew about the two of us getting married.
“How are you David?” Harry asked.
“I’m good, good… Did you have a nice vacation?”
“Yes, I had a very good time,” I replied. Harry smiled and we said goodbye to David and walked to the elevators. My foot tapped as the elevator moved painfully slow up to the eighth floor. The doors opened after what felt like forever and I grabbed my suitcase and walked out into the hallway. I expected to see something different, but nothing changed. It was still the same old, worn out, red carpet under my feet and the cream colored walls. I stopped in front of my apartment door and dug through my bag trying to find my keys.
“Come over when you’re ready,” Harry said smiling as I finally pulled out my keys. I nodded and unlocked my door. I inhaled the familiar smell of my apartment and smiled. I was home.
I shut the door behind me with my foot and walked into my apartment. I dropped my bag off in my room. I’d unpack it later. I ended up standing in the middle of my living room looking around. The last time I was in here, I wasn’t married. Now I was; I had the ring to prove it.
My eyes spotted my house phone and I went to go check for messages. There was only around thirty, so I leaned on the counter and listened to all of them. None of them were really important. A couple were from work and I scribbled down some things on a piece of paper. I hated going through these. No one ever called my house phone. If they really needed me, then they would call my cell phone.
Just then, my phone vibrated in my back pocket. I pulled it out and opened the text.
Come over? Your husband :)
Oh my god, Harry… “COMING!” I called out so that he could hear me. I heard him laugh and I quickly changed into a pair of comfortable pants and a t-shirt. I stepped out of my apartment and walked straight into Harry’s. I found him in his kitchen and I hugged him.
“Are you hungry?” Harry asked.
I shrugged, “I guess…”
“Do you want me to make dinner?”
“Sure,” I replied with a smile. I sat down at his kitchen table and watched as he walked around his kitchen. I took out my phone and went on my Twitter account to find a massive load of tweets to me. Most of them were congratulating Harry and I on our marriage. I replied to as many of them as I could before Harry put a plate down in front of me.
“Done already?” I asked surprised.
“Yep,” he replied with a smile. I put my phone down and Harry sat across from me. We started eating the pasta he’d quickly made, talking about what we were going to do this week.
“I have to work...” I said frowning.
“So do I…” Harry replied.
“So I guess we’ll see each other in the morning and at night…” I said looking at the table.
“The best parts of the day,” Harry said with a wink.
I smiled and laughed, “You make everything better, you know that?”
“Yes,” he replied, “Yes, I do know that Maya. And so do you.”
COMMENT if you died looking at the pic of Harry over there >>>> i did :) haha it made my day <33
