HARRY’S P.O.V.

We walked offstage after the interview. I was still in shock with what I had just told the world. The entire world. The rest of the guys stopped me in my tracks. I ran my hands through my hair.

“Mate, I thought you two weren’t a couple,” Zayn said.

“Well, I didn’t know what to say…” I started to say.

“Well obviously,” Louis said, turning his head to the side.

“Do you realize how much you’re going to get asked about her now?” Liam said. "Every single interview it's going to be 'Harry, who's this girl you're seeing? What's her name?'"

“I know, but I didn’t want to lie and say I didn’t have anyone in my life. I hate lying… and I’m terrible at it too so they would know…” I replied shyly, looking at the floor.

“Hey at least he didn’t give out her name,” Niall tried to lighten the mood.

“Yes but he gave out the initials,” Liam put in. "I'm just saying that you probably should have kept it secret for a little while longer."

“But how many people in New York City have the initials MH? Thousands…” Niall replied.

“Guys, seriously do you think she saw it?” I asked.

            “Maybe,” Liam said.

“Did I do the right thing?”

“Do you think you did?” Louis asked me. I hated these kinds of questions.

“I don’t know…” I mumbled, turning to grab a water bottle from the table behind me.

“Well… all we can do is to wait for other interviews to see what happens,” Liam said.

I ran my hand through my hair. What have I gotten myself into?

“It’ll be okay,” Zayn said patting me on my back.

“I hope she’s not mad…” my voice trailed off.

“She loves you, she’ll be fine,” Louis said encouragingly.

I nodded, but I couldn’t stop thinking of Maya.

MAYA’S P.O.V.

I heard Harry’s footsteps walking down the hallway that night and I jumped up from my couch and burst through my apartment door. I tackled him to the floor and he laughed at me.

“I missed you too…” he said smiling.

“I saw your interview this afternoon,” I said.

            His eyes widened. “Oh…”

“Yeah, but I was so happy! I don’t know why but I was!” I said getting off of him. He stood up and I took him into my apartment. "Sorry I sound so excited..." I went into the kitchen and started making dinner. It was late, but I wanted to wait for Harry so that we could eat together.

“Wait, you were happy? I thought you didn’t want anyone knowing about us…”

“Well yeah, but,” I paused thinking, “I don’t know… I guess I didn’t want any other celebrities trying to chase after my Harry Styles.”

He smiled at me, “Oh I’m yours now?” he walked up to me and put his hands on my waist, “No other girls allowed for Harry Styles?”

“Nuh uh…” I said shaking my head and smiling up at him. I put my arms around his neck and we stared into each other’s eyes.

“Good to know I’m not single anymore,” he said grinning.

“Wait, so we’re magically dating now? Who came up with that?”

            “I did.”

“I’ll have to think about it first before we make anything official and you can give my name out to the public.”

“Okay, so now we’re still secretly dating?”

“Yes… I think secretly dating is more fun…”

            “You think so?”

“Yeah… I mean it’s just so… I don’t know, but isn’t it fun? You’re not asked questions in interviews about your love life and whether or not you have a girlfriend…”

“Well yeah, but I like knowing I have a girlfriend…”

“But isn’t friends with benefits so much more fun?” I kissed him lightly.

“Friends with benefits aren’t allowed to kiss in public though…”

“Who came up with that rule?” I smiled at him.

            “I just thought it was a given…”

“Nah, I don’t think that applies to us…”

“So I can kiss you in public?”

“That depends on where we are… Like if we were at some random traffic light then that would be against the rules…”

He smiled at me, “So many rules…”

“Sorry Harry… that’s the way it has to be,” I smiled and kissed him again. I spun around and continued making dinner. I really didn’t have anything planned, so I just took out what was in the fridge.

“Did you have dinner yet?” Harry asked me.

“No, I was waiting for you, so I hope you’re hungry because you’re eating what I’m making you,” I teased. He walked over and leaned on the counter next to where I was cutting some leftover chicken. I had no idea what I was going to do with it. Once I was done, I stood there looking at it.

“I think that’s some chicken,” Harry teased. I looked at him but couldn’t help but smile.

“Yes Harry, it is. I don’t know what to do with it though…”

Harry walked over to my fridge and looked in it, “Maya, you need to buy some food.”

            “I know…” I said looking at him.

“Why don’t I take you out for dinner?” Harry said.

            “Really?” I smiled.

“Sure, I mean we are friends with benefits aren’t we?” he was teasing me. He wanted us to be a couple. Badly.
