(Couldn't find a pic with Oak included in sorry)
Jasmine P.O.V.
I awoke with the blinding sunlight in my eyes. I get up confused on why I'm on a bed. I sit up then remember last night and what happened. I close my eyes and sigh playing with my fingers. "You're awake," A calm voice says.
I look up to see Anthony setting down a tray with breakfast. I smile taking the tray thankfully from him. "Thanks," I softly tell him.
He nods. "Um- well...I don't want you to freak out on me but I kinda called the police on Daniel," He tells me.
My eyes wide. "Anthony why did you do that!" I yell.
"Look I want you safe, in fact, you should be saying thank you right now," He tells me.
"He's going to hurt my family and our secrets," I start to tear up.
He rubs my back with his warm hand. "It was for your safety," he softly tells me.
"It was for my families safety," I retort.
"Does it matter anymore I was just trying to help," He responds.
"Why don't I just make the decisions from now on," I retort getting up.
He grabs my arm gently. His face near mine. I paused a moment trying to read his eyes I wish I knew what he's thinking. He exhales. "Look, it's too late I told them about everything and he's in jail for probably who knows how long," He explains.
I look down at my feet. "Do I still have the apartment?" I ask.
"All yours," He tells me.
I sigh then hug him tightly taking him by surprise. "Thanks, um well I better start getting ready for work," I tell him.
"I- I can drive you," He offers.
"No, too risky both sides of the restaurant will see," I respond.
"We can park off into the higher parking spot away from the restaurants," He informs.
I grin. "Fine," I reply.
"Shit, I need to got to my house for clothes," I tell him.
"You can borrow one of my shirts?" He offers.
"I'll make it work," I respond as he handed me a blue t-shirt.
I tucked it in so it looked like my size and put my hair up in a messy bun. "Um, hey me, Dav and Oak are going to hang next week we were wondering if you want to come, also this week my parents and sister are out so after work hours we can hang at my restaurant," He asks.
I smile. "Sure, but I can't come Saturday, go fish game with Timothy," I inform.
"You and Oliver?" He asks.
I turn back to him quickly. "No, he's a priest, with two adopted girls and every Saturday I either have tea with him or I go to his house to play games, mostly for talking about our lives," I explain.
"Oh, that's nice," He replies.
"Yeah, especially since you can count on him to keep secrets and give you the best advice, he's so kind, he's what kept my hopes up with my grandpa," I add mumbling the last words.
"Huh?" He asks.
"Nothing," I lie.
Ever since my grandpa was diagnosed with the delusional disorder I've come to see Father Tim often for advice to keep my hope and faith in my life especially since the bad come he's just what I can lean on.
