Jasmine P.O.V.
I arrived at father Tim's house to play a go fish game with him and his daughters. There so precious even though both of them are in 3rd grade. I sigh ringing the doorbell.
Ever since Oliver announced those words to me I ignored him. Yes, we still have to do the partnership with the Rogers but we're going to find another way to pump up the place's popularity without a partnership. Like maybe new additions to our menu or other activities involved with the restaurant. Yes, I have in my mind considered a partnership with the Ramos's but that's a problem, just the fact we're antagonists.
He opened the door with a warm smile on his face. I go in for a hug as Edna and Shara gathered at the door. I cooed at them. There about to go to 4th grade but there just so adorable! The girls both take one of my hands leading me to the living room.
They had a monopoly game set up. I looked at Eden who sat perched up excitedly. "Thought we're playing goldfish?" I ask.
"We were but we got board," Eden responds.
I smile as father Tim sat down by us gathered for the game. We played a few rounds with Eden and Shara but then decided to sit down for a bit to catch up on our lives over hot tea. I smile receiving the cup that Father Tim passed to me. "Thank you," I thank him, looking down at the warm liquid.
"No problem Jas, now tell me how life is going?" He asks.
"Um, well actually a lot, so um I followed through with the plan," I tell him before taking a sip of tea.
"Who, exactly?" He asks.
"Anthony," I respond.
"Interesting," He replies. "Now, what about the restaurant?" He asks.
Interesting what does he mean? I look down at my fiddling fingers around the smooth blue tea cup. I fought back tears and pretty well. "Um, it-it's," I start.
"Jasmine," Father Tim calls out quietly separating my fingers that fidgeted.
I sigh. "Well are population is kinda getting low so they offered either bye bye C.J. or I do a partnership, my mom told them yes which surprised me and then that when it happened, Mr.Rogers offered to join the partnership, but I don't cause I got into a fight with Oliver," I explain.
"Who's Oliver?" He asks.
"Oh, met him long time ago as a kid, and he acting like a total fool now," I tell Tim.
"You had a fight?" He asks.
I nod my head and eagerly look up to him with my elbows on the table and told him. "And I might like Anthony," I add.
"Wait what?" He asks still confused.
I sigh. "Yeah, but it's restricted mostly since he has a girlfriend...and he probably doesn't like me," I explain.
"Jas feel your heart," He tells me.
I raise an eyebrow at him. He points to my heart. I sigh placing my warm hands on my heart. "Jasmine, I'm going to say his name and I want you to tell me what you feel," He adds.
I nod my head confused. "Close your eyes," He tells me.
I close my eyes. "Anthony," He says.
I felt my heart jolt, my cheeks warm up and a smile tugged at my lips as I pictured the freckled boy.
"What do you feel?" He asks me.
"Um, my heart jolted, I'm flustered and I smiled," I tell him thoughtfully.
He smiles. "But, Father Ti-"
"Timothy," He tells me.
I clear my throat. "Right, but cheating is a sin," I tell him.
He just stares at me. "I think I know that Jas, after all, I am a priest," He finally speaks out.
"Right, but what do you want me to do?" I ask.
"Nothing," He tells me.
"Nothing?" I ask.
"Nothing," He repeats.
I sigh and take a drink of the tea. "But, for your restaurant, convince others with your heart of a new direction of the place," He tells me.
I smile at him I would hug him except we're sitting down. A tear comes down my cheek. "T-thanks father Tim for always being here for me especially when it comes to the bad," I cry out.
"That's what friends do, they support and always be there for you," He responds.
I grin wiping my tear.
"Daddy, Shara is cheating, cheating is a sin dad!" Edna yells.
We both laugh. "We better get down there before they both sin," he tells me jokingly.
We both get up trying to stop the girls from fighting.
