"Yeah you heard right. I have a plus one," she mused.

"I think you've lost your mind," I said, laughing.

She laughed.

"Come on. It'll be fun," she said.

"Nope. Not happening," I said, shaking my head.

"What's the worst that could happen?" she asked.

"What's the worst? Brit, Xavier and Avery is going to be there. I'll be doomed for sure. Other Royals would be laughing and mocking me. I would be the laugh of your world. Forever."

She laughed.

"Oh Belle. You have such a good humor," she said.

"Yeah sure. Go ahead and laugh," I said, sarcastically.

"Belle, that won't happen. Didn't you hear what that lady back there said," she said.

"Yes. But that's one woman. She's kind and thoughtful but how many are like her?" I said.

"That's true. But Belle, you're being invited. It's not like you're stalking him or something. I invited you. Plus you'll be with me through out the feast and ball."

I wasn't too sure about it but I guess I could go.

"Okay. I'll go," I said, smiling.

"Yay!" she squealed and clapped.

She's such a kid at heart.

"Dress shopping!" she said and grabbed my hand and ran to Forever 21.

"What about this?" she asked.

She held up the one hundredth dress I've seen for the day. And still I didn't want it. I guess I wanted the perfect dress.

The dress that she held was black and knee length length with sleeves. It was a v-neck.

I must admit it was a nice dress but I could tell it wasn't my size.

"That isn't my size," I said to her.

"How'd you know?" she asked, looking at it.

"Does that-" I said, pointing at the dress and continued, "-look like it could fit this ?" then pointed at myself.

"I don't know, to be honest," she said.

"Let's just go, okay? Maybe this is a sign that I'm not supposed to go to your Christmas traditions," I said, getting up.

"Wait. I have another one. You have to see it," she said and ran over to another section of dresses.

I sighed. I know I can't fit what she's about to bring. I'm too fat for this place. They cater for model like people and petite sizes.

"How about this?" she asked, as she held up the dress.

My eyes widened.

Where did she get this from? I love it!

It was black and satiny. Being feet length, I know I would have to wear heels with it. The sleeves were lace and it was v-neck. The bottom flowed out to the floor. I loved it!

But could it fit?

And I couldn't tell.

She handed me the dress and I took the dress from her.

Walking to the changing room, I wondered if the dress was going to fit me.

I went into the changing room and closed it.
