●Chapter 52●

We were seated at a table and eating and talking.

"This is so good," I said while eating a slice of pizza.

Yeah, that's right. Pizza. Cheese pizza as a matter of fact.

"I know right!" Britney said while eating a cheeseburger.

I nodded. "Mmhmm."

"So do you know why he kidnapped me instead of removing that stupid spell and explain it like every normal person would?" I asked.

"To be honest, I don't know why he did. I thought he was perfectly happy with the way stuff was going," she said.

"Hmm. Question. Is he still engaged to Avery?" I asked.

Of course, he's still going to be engaged to her.

"No, he's not," she said.

What?

"Did you just say 'no'?" I questioned her shockingly surprised.

"Yeah I did," she said looking at me.

"What? How? Why? When? Where?" I blurted out.

Oh I need to know this.

"Okay so it all happened at the mall," she began.

Ooo. Interesting place.

"Well you should know that she's very bossy and annoying and well she wanted to get this dress that she saw on display but the thing is the dress was already sold out. So she threw a tantrum and the security guards put her out. Naturally, no one would touch her but since they were humans they won't know. She lost her temper and blew her cover," she continued.

"Yikes! Did she bite anyone?" I asked.

"Yeah, she did," Britney said and nodded her head. "She bit 3 humans. The two guards and of course the salesgirl."

"I don't understand why she had to get angry over a dress. Come on, it's just a dress. She could've simply asked if they could order it for her and you know, wait for it," I said.

"Yeah, no. Patience isn't one of Avery's qualities. She's just spoiled, I guess. What ever she sees and likes, she wants and she probably always gets it," she said shrugging.

"I remember when I wanted every toy as a kid that I saw and liked but my brother always told me 'Put that down Belle, it's too expensive'," I said laughing.

She laughed. "The struggle was real."

"But I did get the stuff that I needed and for that, I'm grateful. We did it on our own without parents," I said.

I miss my brother so much. I hope he's okay. I hope he's not stressing too much. I know he'd be worried a lot. But hang in there brother, I'm going to get out of this one way or the other.

"So the Council heard about the ruckus and fortunately for me, she was punished severely for letting her reveal herself to humans and the humans who had seen what happened, they were hypnotized to forget permanently," she said.

I finished eating and sipped on some Coca Cola.

"Wait. There's temporary and permanent? I thought it was only just erase the mind and then the person would remember if they do figure it out," I said confused.

"Um well there's temporary which Xavier did to you where you would forget him alone and anyone related to him but the permanent is where they erase the mind of the whole situation and basically you'll be confused for the next 24 hours which only the Council could do, of course," she explained.
