The Skeleton Princess

Chapter 1 - The beginning

In the grand hall of the palace of Lovic, where the only source of light is from the chandelier made of a certain animals bones and the thick glass windows which emit dark purple light because of the sky.

A girl with long blonde hair, heterochromia eyes who is five foot one with a small slender body, pale white skin and a black dress which has white skulls woven into it.

She walks through the halls of the giant labyrinth which she calls home with a graceful walk, yet it also has a bit of playfulness to it. She waves to the skeletal knights as she walks past them but they ignore her like they always do.

The girl reaches to a pair of giant doors which were the "biggest doors in the universe" as she called them when growing up, they had a scythe pattern imprinted into them which just made the door look so much more cooler.

The girl knocks on the door three times the door then opens with a loud creaking sound as if they hadn't opened in decades.

She walks through the door into an even bigger room full of knights all in rows and columns like toy soldiers, they paid her no mind as she walks closer to the throne to greet her father.

Death waves with his skeletal hand which have multiple cracks on it showing his age, Death then says in his deep usual tone of voice "Take a seat, Luna."

Death points to the chair next to him, it was smaller than Deaths throne since it was for Luna.

Luna did as her father said and sat on the chair with elegance, Death then starts to speak to Luna "I have waited a long time to give you this."

Death summons a void, it's a completely black hole which Death reaches into and pulls out a cloak.

The same one Death had when he found Luna, Luna's face lights up with a big smile knowing what this means.

She asks her father in an excited tone as if Christmas was early "Can I really have this and go outside of our house?"

Death nods, his eyes turn from green to yellow as he looks at his smiling daughter with happiness.

Luna then gets up off of her throne and throws on the black cloak over her back, she looks towards her father and smiles while saying "Thank you!"

Death tries to smile but due to having no face he justs looks weird, Luna snickers at him and then she skips away in excitement to the giant doors, knocks three times then leaves.

The blue tuxedo man appears next to Death as he looks at the skeletal knights, Death asks "What do you want, Ragel?"

Ragel with the sinister look he always has says "I don't think the daughter of Death should leave the castle without any protection, It can be very dangerous in Lovic."

Death puts up his hand and points at one of the knights in the group, the knight begins to move, its eyes light up with a blue circle in the center of the two black holes.

It then salutes and asks "What do you need my lord?"

Death looks at him and asks with his usual deep tone "You are close friends with my daughter, are you not?"

The knight hesitates for a second thinking that depending on his answer he will be destroyed, the knight answers "Yes my lord, you assigned me to be your daughter's playmate when she was a child."

Death nods to an agreement with the knight, Death then commands the knight to "Accompany my daughter as a guard and a friend." The knight salutes again and says "Yes my lord!"

Luna goes through the giant doors that lead back into the purple colored hallway, she takes one final look into the throne room before the doors close.

She sees Ragel appear next to her father but the doors close before she sees anything happen, Luna then turns to walk down the hallway until she is bumped and Luna falls to the ground.

She looks up to see who she walked into and sees that it was one of the maids but it wasn't just any maid, Luna knew who it was in an instant because this girl was Lucy, Luna's personal maid and one of her closest friends.

Lucy is a zombie girl with short brown hair, a maid uniform, red eyes and yellow-green skin.

Lucy was in a panic that she accidentally pushed down her mistress, she says with tears in her eyes and putting on a begging face "I'm sorry mistress, please forgive me!"

Luna looks at her with a smile and says in a kind and soft tone "It's okay Lucy I wasn't hurt, but could you please stop calling me 'mistress'?"

Lucy's face changes from a tearful one to a smile when she says in a cheerful tone "Okay...Luna."

Luna smiles and asks Lucy "Hey you wanna go through the city with me for a while? I can finally go outside!"

Lucy's smiles even brighter and says while pumping her fist into the air "Yeah!"

Lucy's arm detaches from her torso and goes up into the air, it comes back down and hits her in the face.

The now downed zombie girl gets back up and attaches her arm back onto her body, Luna can't help but laugh at Lucy's bad luck and clumsiness.

Lucy doesn't mind Luna's laughter as long as she makes her mistress happy, As soon as Luna and Lucy were about to leave the pair of giant doors to the throne room open.

The person who walks out of the throne room is none other than Luna's childhood bestie Maxilla.

Maxilla is a skeleton knight with no features different to any other knight except for his armor which is colored red and not blue.

Maxilla walks to Luna in a soldier way, Maxilla then says in a formal tone "I have been ordered to accompany you by Lord Death."

Luna tilts her head sideways and says in a confused tone "Who're you?"

Maxilla's then shouts in an annoyed tone "It's me Maxilla! Did you forget me?"

Luna playfully grins and says in her normal soft tone "That's my friend, no formalities Max."

Lucy then intervenes by saying "So are we going to the city or not?"

Luna smiles then points towards the door to the outside garden and shouts in a commanding tone "Onward!"

The skeleton, zombie, and princess all charge out the door like a small army ready for battle.
