Zombies are a race in the Underworld, there are different types of zombies. A zombie cannot convert a human into a zombie unless it's accepted, there are rare cases where a zombie affects a human without consent like King Gaius of Underkeep.
Civilian zombies
These zombies are either born a zombie or have been converted into a zombie. They work like any other race of the Underworld from bartenders to blacksmiths. The civilian can become any type of zombie except for mourning zombies.
Mage zombies
Mage zombies are zombies who are adept with magic. A zombie which learns magic or knew magic before it was converted is a mage zombie.
Knight zombies
Like skeleton knights, they are assigned to protect their master, but zombie knights need to be trained unlike skeleton knights which are created from magic, the zombie knights prefer swords over magic.
Cannibal zombies
Cannibal zombies are insane zombies which have been caused by eating human flesh, it's rare to have a cannibal knight in the Underworld because humans find it difficult to enter it. It's easier to find them in the Overworld but Death tends to banish them before anything huge happens. The cannibal zombies even eat other zombies without a problem.
Mourning zombies
Mourning zombies are the rarest zombies and hated because they never accepted or even met a zombie to become one. They are only created by a human who has had so much sadness their body refuses to die until they are truly happy. A mourning zombie doesn't age unlike all the other types of zombies but because of this, they don't heal from any injury.
