Grainger rose higher and higher into the air. Malice watched proudly. Anna pulled the trigger, sending Grainger through the ceiling and out of the castle.

"I warned you!" Anna cooed, marveling at a job well done.

"Anna! He is your nephew! How could you kill him! He was my son!" Malice yelled as her eyes burned red and her hair morphed into a dark black. She lunged at Anna burning her with fire. Anna shot lightning back at Malice and they continued to fight.

Grainger opened his eyes. He was laying in a pile of dirt. He rolled over and was blinded by the sun. He used his arm to shield his eyes. As he looked around, he saw nothing for miles expect dust. He continued to look and then spotted an object in the distance. He gathered himself and steadily began to approach the mysterious object. Grainger trudged for a while when the figured out what the object was. He knelt down staring at the rock. It was as big as he was. He stretched his hands over the sides of the rock and he began to study the rock. His eyes wondered up and down the rock until he saw words. This wasn't just any rock, this was a head stone. Grainger's question was who's dead body was he kneeling on. The stone was old, maybe sixteen years old or so. Grainger narrowed his eyes to get a closer look.

"Ryder Cross. A loving father of two children, a wonderful husband, and a great warrior. Never to be forgotten." A voice called. Grainger turned quickly and no one was there.

"I am not a body, I am a consciousness." The voice said again.

"Where are you!" Grainger shouted.

"In your head. I'm a ghost."

"Who are you?" Grainger asked.

"Your on my grave, son." The voice mentioned.

Grainger looked at the head stone again and then stated, "Ryder Cross."

"Why 'Ryder' I am father to you." The voice echoed in Grainger's head.

"Father! No! That can't be... my father is Finn Rodgers!" Grainger's voice quivered.

"Malice is lying to you, she just didn't want you to know my identity or you would piece together what happened."

"What do you mean?" Grainger trembled. His life slowly began to unravel before his eyes.

"Anna killed me. She shot me with her blaster in rage. She too gave into the darkness and snapped. She felt I was the reason why Valarina turned out the way she did. She accused me of being a terrible father and a bad influence to you even before you where born." Ryder stated.

"What? Who is Valarina? Malice told me that you died in a plane crash and that I was you reincarnated. She said I would die the same way."

"Malice is lying. She was trying to protect you by withholding the truth and not letting you know your prophecy. Valarina is Anna's daughter. My brother Kylo and Anna got married and had a daughter named Valarina Cross. When Valarina saw that Anna wasn't as good as she was stated to be, Valarina brought up the prophecy and Anna couldn't have that. Anna silenced Valarina and before I could say anything, she did the same to me. This is what led Malice to the dark side." Ryder informed.

Grainger sat, hurt. Everyone lied to him and he didn't know where his faith lied. Anna killed his father and his cousin. Malice let it happen but then almost killed him. Faith was fighting in Grainger. He knew imagined his life to be as complicated or as dishonorable as it was. So there he sat, contemplating his next move on a forgotten grave. It was sad to think that Grainger's father was forgotten.

"You took everything from me! You took my father, my cousin, and my mother!" Grainger yelled as he looked up to the sky.  Grainger felt acute pain in the back of his neck and then he saw black, collapsing to the ground.
