Taking Over

"Whoa!" Valarina exclaimed as they drove onto the bridge.

"It's beautiful, like you." Sofia murmured looking at Grainger. Grainger looked down and smiled.

The beautiful sights of the bridge only lasted a few seconds before they had arrived on Rouge. Valarina and Sofia stared at the fire that cascaded down a tall tower and into a pit below.

"Welcome to Rouge." Grainger sighed.

"What is that?" Sofia asked as she parked the speeder in front of the tower.

"Get ready because we are about to enter enemy territory. This is the knights base." Grainger warned.

"Okay then." Sofia remarked as she walked up the winding staircase.

She got half way up the tower staircase and stopped. She looked over the side at the ground.

"Uh." She sighed.

"What's wrong?" Grainger asked.

"I don't like heights." Sofia admitted.

"Looks like you're not fearless. Don't worry, I've got you. I don't like heights either." Grainger responded. He grabbed Sofia's hand and held it tight. Sofia glanced down at their hands and smiled.

"I really like you, Grainger. Thanks for helping me." Sofia murmured as she kissed Grainger on the cheek. Grainger was surprised but happy. He smiled proudly. Now he knew Sofia felt the same way about him as he felt about her. It was only a couple steps till they reached the top of the staircase and where at the top floor.

"Let me go in and explain. They will give Malice the galaxy since she is next in line for the throne. I will become the Emperor since I am the only guy in the family now. Valarina, you will be the queen. Sofia you will be a queen too if you want." Grainger explained.

"Anything for you, Grainger." Sofia cooed. Malice and Valarina nodded. Grainger led Sofia and Valarina into the Galactic Senate Office with him and they stood before the senator.

"What brings you here, Grainger." he asked.

"Mr. Senator I have terrible news. The Emperor and the Empress have been killed along with some of the troops at the castle." Grainger stated.

"Are you certain their dead?" he questioned.

"Positive. Anna wasn't as good as she was supposed to be. She killed my father and she killed my friend, Sofia's, parents as well. When she arrived at the castle, it was terrifying. I saw a side of Empress Anna that I never ever wanted to see. She submitted herself to the dark side and then the castle collapsed from all the explosions. I was able to make it out alive and was thrown to a deserted area of Albea Point and I saw my father's forgotten grave. His ghost told me his story and how Anna killed him. He also told me about the lost princess. I traveled the galaxy with the help of Malice in search of her. Anna's daughter's name is Valarina." Grainger continued pointing to Valarina when he mentioned her name. Malice walked slowly into the office not knowing what to expect. She wasn't welcome here ever since she blew up a planet and tried to overthrow the empire.

"Malice. Thank you for your help. I guess we have no choice but to pass the kingdom down to you and Grainger as Empress and Emperor. I guess Valarina will have to be the queen. I hereby swear you to be the new Emperor, Empress, and Queen. Congratulations. Who is the brunet?" the senator mentioned.

"I am Princess Sofia of Mirelda. It is a planet in a galaxy far from here but it is where Valarina and I lived up until now." Sofia mentioned.

"As the new Emperor, I demand Princess Sofia of Mirelda be sworn in as the other Queen of Ragnarok." Grainger demanded.

"Emperor Grainger, you know the only way you can do this is to make her your wife." the senator clarified. Grainger knelt down on one knee and took Sofia's hand. Sofia knew what was about to happen and her heart pounded.

"Do you believe in love at first sight?" Grainger asked.

"If it's with you." Sofia cooed.

"I guess I have no choice then. Sofia Kappen will you be my wife?" Grainger asked. Sofia covered her mouth with her hand. This was a big step for her. She was only seventeen and though she was an adult, she hadn't even dated Grainger let alone be his fiance.

"Grainger, this is a big step. If you think that this is best, I guess I have no choice but to marry you." Sofia replied with a smile. Sofia did love Grainger even though she barely knew him but she knew it was love at first sight.

"Then it's settled. Sofia will be my wife and become the Empress." Grainger murmured.

"I will be stepping down from the throne. Sofia will be the only Empress. I will run the troops." Malice stated.

"Malice, you don't have to do that." Sofia cried.

"I want too. Besides, you deserve it. Consider this an early wedding gift." Malice reassured. Sofia was shaking with excitement. She was going to become an Empress and get married.

"You must go get ready for your coronation and wedding." the senator stated.

Grainger nodded with a smile and started to lead Sofia down the stairs. He took her to the ballroom and found a maid.

"Prepare her for a wedding. She is the bride. Alert everyone else that she is going to be my wife and the new Empress so there will be a wedding and a coronation." Grainger stated eagerly.

The maid smiled from ear to ear and grabbed Sofia's hand. Together, they ran to the dressing rooms and Sofia picked out her wedding dress.
