I stand up and look toward Savoir as he looks at the lake. The sunset did pretty things to his eyes and the wind played with his hair. I felt a moment of awe to my fellow Faerie. To me he was one of what I am. But to Elizabeth he is beauty at its best. My heart began to race. Savoir looked at me and I blushed as I looked away.
“Is something wrong?”
“No, But Elizabeth finds you attractive.”
“Well most humans do Cycle.”
“Its like i’m seeing you for the first time.”
“You will feel that way about a lot of things cycle. You are seeing everything through Elizabeth’s mind and your Faerie eyes.”
“It will certainly take some getting used to.”
“That is for sure. I feel like i’m talking to someone else. Definitely not Cycle of Life.”
“What should be my name Savoir?”
Savoir had put his hand under my chin. He looked me in the eyes.
“Its not upon me to name you cycle of life.”
“You are the Faerie of knowledge. Isnt there something that will relate to the Faerie I am?”
“No.”
“umm...”
“Kelly.”
“Oh? Kelly. What does that mean?”
“Bright-headed. You have knowledge now. You know of the Isle and you know about the earth.”
“I like Kelly. I am reminded of Dolls. Children’s toys. Barbie dolls. Barbie’s little sister is named Kelly.”
“you are full of fun facts now Cycle.”
“Hey! its not Cycle. I am Kelly... Kellyyyy... Hey I need a last name.”
“Delia is your guardian now. She will give you a last name. I will provide you with documents later on for identification.”
“I am Kelly Elizabeth.”
“Elizabeth is your last name?”
“No, silly boy. Its my middle name. Its in the memory of the beloved Elizabeth Wilkins. Lets go!” I start running towards Savoir’s car. I Know how to drive in one of those. I stare at the vehicle. Suddenly seeing it in a different light. Transportation is heavenly.
“Kelly stop staring at things.”
I Laugh. “Savoir I’m way over my head.”
“Oh yeah? well i’m glad you noticed. Now get in the car please.”
“This is interesting!”
“What is interesting Kelly?”
“All the information Elizabeth Wilkins knows about nature. Her grandfather was a ranger. He patrolled the forest for fires. If she were ever lost in the woods she could survive and get herself out.”
“You mean you can?”
“Oh, yeah. Thats going to take some time to get used to isnt it?”
“You know what they say, she’s in a better place now.”
“yes, she knows the saying.”
“Okay here we are, At Lady Amos’ home.”
“Thank you for all your help Savoir.”
“I’d appreciate it if you stopped by maybe tomorrow or in the next few days. I would like to test, er, i’m curious about Elizabeth’s smarts.”
