he left just like that
two years of being together
loving each other
all those promises he made to her
how he wanted to move in together
be the father of her child
her to be the wife to make him a husband
she wanted to see the bustling family skipping around the kitchen like he said
he rose her hopes
he promised to never let go
but he left
he left her and all her happiness with no regard
he no longer loved her as much as he promised
she still believed him though
she believed him from the day they met
that they would would hold hands, feeling the cool touch of gold from their wedding bands
all she saw now was fire
the fire that burned within her
the one that bursted all those hopes into flames
the false accusations
no longer true anymore
yet she still believed
she still loved
she still cared
she still hoped
