Chapter One: Elsa's Point of View Author: Elphaba

Elsa looked over the balcony, her heart racing. She didn't want to jump, but she saw no other way. "Elsa, Please." Kristoff begged, but she ignored him. She was well aware that he loved Anna, as they were engaged, but there was no changing the fact that she herself was in love with the shaggy icemaster. Elsa thought over her options. Jump, and risk death? No, she couldn't do that to the people of Arendelle. Suck it up and pretend to stop loving Kristoff? Oh, but she was so terrible at concealing things, especially feelings. Finally she came to a conclusion. She stood up straight, turned around to face Kristoff and her worried, fragile sister, and tossed back her hair. "I'm leaving." She declared. Anna gasped, and Kristoff looked at her sternly. "No, you're not." he ordered. Elsa sighed. She was getting extremely annoyed with his urgency to get her to stay. Why should she if he wouldn't love her? "I'm only going for a little while." she breathed, though she was so certain that was truthful. Anna put a hand on her fiancees muscular arm. "Let her go Kristoff. She obviously has her heart set on going." the red-headed girl tried hard to hold back her tears. "Just promise you'll be back for the wedding." she pleaded. And Elsa promised her. She would never do that to her own sister. Or would she? At this point, Elsa was too stressed. She needed to get out. The snow queen hugged her red-headed sister tight. She then grabbed her cape and proceeded through the hall and down the stairs. In her misery, a raging blizzard formed over Arendelle. Elsa trudged on through the snow, having no idea where she was going. After about an hour of nothing and noone, Elsa began to panic. What had she done? She left her sister alone. Again. She felt terrible, but she knew it was for the best. Slowly the storm began to die down as she calmed herself. Elsa noticed she was in a small town, a college town perhaps? Just then a girl about her age approached her. She wore a knee-length pink frock adorned with many roses, with matching bubble gum pink heels, and a black scholar's shawl. Her hair was a pretty blonde, not white blonde like Elsa's but a rich, golden color, and it was curled in tight little noodle-like shapes. "Oh gosh, you must be freezing! Here, let me fix that." Elsa exclaimed as she lifted her arms up in the air and caused the storm to vanish. The girl gaped at her. "You're a witch? Cool! I've thought about taking sorcery, but I'm not sure that's my forte." She stuck out a hand for Elsa to shake. "No, actually I'm not, I just have the ability to control ice. I'm Elsa. Queen Elsa of Arendelle." She smiled at the girl, feeling and immediate connection with her. The girl smiled back. "Galinda. That's Galinda with a GUH, of the Upper Uplands, in Gillikin, Oz."
