Chapter 18: Anna's Point of View

Another month had gone by and Anna still had heard nothing from her older sister. She knew from teh one letter Elsa had sent months back that she had made friends with a girl name Galinda, who apparently was a college student, and that Galinda had a nasty roommate who was, shockingly, green. Elsa had said they lived in a country called Oz. Where was Oz? Anna had no idea, but that place she and Kristoff had found a while back while climbing one day called to her with an Oz-ish feel. So, in the middle of the night, Anna decided enough was enough, and she was going after her sister. Again. She braided her hair, grabbed the first dress she saw- which was a classic Norwegian style dress checkered in blue and white- and wrote Kristoff a note begging him not to come after her. After about a mile of walking, she  noticed Tardis following her about five feet behind. Anna picked up the little pooch and continued on. Anna walked through the night until finally she reached the colorful little town down in the valley of the Norwegian mountains. Exhausted and not thinking straight, the princess proceeded to knock on the door of the first brightly colored house she saw. A very small man and woman appeared at the door. They called themselves "Munchkins" and were very friendly. The couple let her stay the night. From them, Anna learned that she was indeed in Oz, which was apparently ruled by a Wizard. Not wanting to draw attention to her royality over this Wizard who they seemed so fond of, Anna told the friendly Munchkin her name was Dorothy, because she'd always liked that name, and also that she was lost. The Munchkins offered to let her stay with them for a while, until she could find a way back home.

The next day, Anna awoke bright and early, and decided to explore the town of Munchkinland, as she learned it was called. The place was astoundingly beautiful and vibrant, and she almost didn't want to ever leave. Soon Anna knew her way around and people began to know her as Dorothy, the lost girl and honorary Munchkin. It had been nearly two weeks since Anna had been there when a violent storm began to brew, seemingly out of nowhere. Elsa! Anna finally realized one day when she woke up. She threw on her coat and rushed outside, to the edge of town, to see if she could find the source of the storm. CRASH! A building came plummeting down next to her. At impact, Anna whipped around. A small, two-room house had landed in front of her, nearly collapsing over her head. I guess the storm was REALLY strong. She thought to herself. Out of curiosity, she grabbed Tardis and walked around the side of the fallen building. When she reached the front, she nearly fainted. Two legs adorned in striped socks lay under the house, and THE SHOES! Oh the shoes were gorgeously red and just the right amount of sparkle. Without even acknowledging that someone had just died because of her sister, Anna (Dorothy) grabbed the shoes and slipped them onto her feet. It was a perfect fit. Dorothanna decided to keep them, and continued to look for any indication as to where Elsa might be.

"Wait, stop!" shrieked a voice of urgency and despair. She looked behind her to see a girl about her age in a long black dress. She had thick black hair.........and green skin.

"Are you Elphaba?" She asked. The girl nodded.

"It's nice to be called that for a change. You're Elsa's sister, right?" Elphaba replied, glancing arond nervously.

"Yes. But shh....here they know me as Dorothy."

"Dorothy? Alright, but seriously. Where'd you get those shoes?" Elphaba asked, pointing to Dorothanna's new glittering footwear. She wasn't sure why, but she trusted Elphaba, so she decided to tell her the truth.

"Oh......I found them......." she gestured to the house with the feet under it, but instead of Elphaba laughing, she gasped.

"NESSA!!!!!" screeched Elphaba, running to the house. Dorothanna had no idea what was going on, but she knew Elphaba had answers, and she was determined to get them. Dorothanna ran up to Elphaba, now near tears, but couldn't get through because a crowd of Munchkins was forming around her.

"It's the Wicked Witch of the West!"

"Get her!" they cried. Wicked? Why Wicked? Was it because she was green? She wondered. Suddenly a girl in a bright pink dress with curly blonde hair appeared. Had she flown? This day just got weirder. Whoever the girl was, the mob had vanished because of her, and so had Elphaba, leaving just Dorothanna with the girl in pink.

"Weclome to Oz." said the girl, smiling. "I'm Galinda"
