Chapter 13
Ellington's POV
Tonight I will make Rydel mine. I put a card in her room so that she will hopefully see it. There was a knock at the bedroom door. I opened it and Riker was standing there smiling like a idiot.
"Hey there smiley." I said. He walked in and sat on the bed.
"Hey." He said. He kept smiling.
"What can I help you with?"
"Well I was wondering if you happened to do or say something that could have disappointed Rydel before she left?" He kept smiling. It was scaring me.
"I might have said she was beggining to get a little clingy and I was worried about her." I said looking at the floor.
"Oh. Well that can't possibly please a girl." Riker said giggling.
"How is that possibly funny?" I asked.
"I can't believe you would say that. The fact that you did makes it funny." Riker giggled and walked out the door and closed it.
That was strange.
Ryland's POV
I was sitting playing video games with Ross when Rocky knocked on the door.
"Come in." I yelled and Rocky walked in.
"Ross can you give us a minute?" Rocky asked. Ross knodded and left the room.
"What's up Big weirdo?" That's what I call Rocky.
"I have a question for you Little weirdo." Rocky said.
"Ok what?"
"Is there anything you could have said or done that would have made Rydel want to leave?"
"Well I might have said that she was being a brat." I said
"Well then." Then Rocky left.
Riker's POV
I was walking into the kitchen and happened to run into Mom. YES!!
Stormie's POV
"Hey Sweetie." I said looking at Riker for a second.
"Hey Mommy!" Riker said taking a carrot off the cutting board.
"What can I help you with young man?"
"Well I have kinda a weird question." He sat on the counter and kept taking carrots.
"Stop it!" I said
"Sorry. Anyway I was wondering if there was anything you could have dane that could have hurt Rydel's feeling's before she left?"
"Excuse me?"
"It's just a question mom."
"Right. Let me see....... I asked her bout her and Ellington and she said there was nothing going on and I sad would you like to date him and she said MOM so I said she was being very snappy lately. But quiet honestly I have a right to ask."
"Mom. You of all people should know for one of course she wants to date Ellington and two that a girl especially Rydel does not like to hear she is being snappy. This is Ellington all over again!" Riker said walking out of the room.
"WELL THAT WAS RUDE!!" I yelled to him.
"I KNOW!!" Riker yelled back.
Ellington walkd in and looked over my shoulder.
"That looks like carrots." Ellington said and giggled.
"Take one." I said he grabbed one and ate it.
"What is up with you Ellington?"
"Not to much. I had a weird converstaion with Riker."
"I think everyone is."
"Huh?"
"I just had the same one."
"Oh. Then can I ask you something?"
"Ellington Lee Ratliff you know you can ask me anything." I turned towards Ellington who is like my fifth son.
"Well he asked if I had done something that would have hurt Rydel's feeling's before she left. So I said what might have done that but I wasn't completely honest."
"Well.... You know that lying isn't good. And you probably did it for a good reason. So do you mind if I ask what you left out?" I asked. A tear slipped down Ellington's cheek. "Aww sweetie." I wrapped my arms around Ellington. He cried into my shoulder. He lifted his head.
"Well I told her that I love her and that I couldn't live with out her.... and well I think that's what drove her away and I feel awful."
"Ellington I think we both know that Delly didn't mean to hurt you or anyone but she made a mistake but you didn't. Don't beat yourself up for it."
"Thanks Mom." Ellington calls me mom.
"Sure thing honey." Ellington walked away.
Poor Kid.
Ross's POV
"Hey Ross. I just talked to Ryland but now I need to talk to you real quick." Rocky said coming down the stairs. I looked up from my phone. I was texting my amazing girlfriend.
"What's up?" I asked
"Well I was wondering if there was anything you ould have said that could have made Rydel mad and leave before she left?"
"Well I told her she wasn't being helpful with practing Austin and Ally scene. But that's it."
"Thanks Ross."
"Yeah!" Then I went back to texting.
Mark's POV
"Hey Dad can we tak for a seccond?" Riker said peeking his head into my office.
"Sure. What's up?" He walked in and sat in the chair next to me.
"Well I was wondering if there was anything you could have done that would have made Rydel mad before she left?"
"Well I told her if she doesn't practce piano that her piano would sound bad. And then I told her that itwas starting to sound weird. But I was trying to help."
"Nice. Smooth dad."
"I know I know! But I'm busy so off you go." I said
"Got it." And then he was gone.
Riker's POV
I got all the information I need. I hope Rocky got his.
Rocky's POV
