Chapter 22

Ellingtons POV

This week has been hard for me. I almost get no sleep. Rydel tys to get me to sleep when she does but like I would. Riker had been in a mood lately and no one knows why. So when he's mad he takes it out on me. I've been sitting in Rydel’s room for over three hours. That's right I'm just sitting.

I decided to go to the bathroom so I got up and opened the door. Riker was leaned up against the wall across from Rydel’s room.

"Riker?" I asked.

"Yes?" He said

"How long have you been standing there?" I asked. Riker looked down at his watch.

"Over three hours." He said.

"You've been waiting here ever since I went in there?" I asked.

"Yep."

"That's creepy. Actually you are now above creepy!" I said.

"Well I have a reason." Riker said.

"Good cause I would love to hear it."

"Rydels cheating on you." Riker whispered.

"I'm sorry Riker it sounded like you said Rydel is cheating on me." I said.

"I did say that." Riker said.

"Come on Riker be serious."

"I am."

"Right. Cause she would do that."

"No I'm not kidding. Rydel has been distant right?"

"For the fun of it lets say yes." I said

"Alright so Rydel only does that when she is hiding something. Just when you went up here I saw Rydel come home. Some guy dropped her off. And she kissed that guy."

"Riker first you were creepy now you're insane."

"Here smartly pants watch this." Riker said. He took his phone out of his pocket and played a video. After it was over my heart was shattered into a million pieces.

"I can't believe this." I said.

"I'm sorry. I never thought she would do something like that." Riker said.

“Neither did I.” I said. I walked away. When I reached the bathroom I fell to the ground and cried. I couldn’t move. I felt like a piece of me was missing. Rydel just ripped my heart out and stomped all over it.

“Ellington? Are you crying?” I froze. Rydel was at the door talking to me like nothing was wrong.

“N-No.” I stuttered.

“Open the door.” Rydel said banging on the door. I stood up wiped my tears away. I put my hand on the door knob. I was shaking. I opened the door.

“What?” I asked.

“What’s the matter?” She asked. Just then Talia and Ross came walking by the bathroom holding hands.

“Hi guys.” Talia said. She was giggling. Ross pulled her hand and they disappeared.

“Ellington.” I stared her the eyes.

“Why Rydel?” I asked. Tears filled my eyes.

“Huh?” She had a confused look on her face.

“Cheating? I never thought you would ever do that.” I said. Tears falling from my eyes and rolling down my face.

“I’m sorry Ellington.” Rydel said.

“I just don’t understand. I should have known. But thanks to Riker it became all clear. It’s like I don’t know you anymore Rydel.” I said.

“Riker told you?”

“Yes and I’m glad. Rydel. Don’t. EVER. Talk. To. Me. AGAIN!” I yelled. I stormed past her.

I ran into the living room where Riker was sitting on the couch with Rocky. I plopped down on the couch next to Rocky.

“That was harsh.” Rocky said.

“She’ll be fine.” Riker said.

“Riker’s right. She’ll be just fine.” I said.

“Do you know something I don’t?” Rocky asked.

“Rydel cheated on him.” Riker said.

"She did what now?" Rocky jumped out of his seat.

"Dude chill. I'm over it." I said.

"I'm sorry but that's humanily impossible."

"Rocky, it is if you thought someone loved you but it was fake because you are just a drummer in a stupid band." I said.

"Alright calm down." Rocky said.

"You know what I'm done here. Tell everyone I quit R5." I said. I got up and walked out the door.

~1 Week Later~

Riker's POV

Rocky and I haven't told anyone about Ellington quitting R5. My dad came into the livingroom with his phone in his hand. Everyone was following behind. I was slouched on the couch watching TV.

"Has anyone seen Ellington in the last week?" My dad said. Everyone nodded their head no.

"Why dad?" I asked.

"I just got a call from the LAPD." (Los Angeles Police Department) "They said that Ellington was arrested for murder earlier this morning." My dad said. Rydel froze. I sat up.

"What?" I asked.

"This morning they found a body 3 blocks from Ellingtons house. A FBI agent went to every house 3 blocks from the body. They did tests and ellingtons prints were all over the body." My dad said.

"I'll be back." Rydel said.

"Rydel Ellington can't have visitors." Dad said.

"I'm not." Rydel got up and left.

Rydel's POV

"Louis you promised!" I yelled. Louis is my boyfriend. Sort of.

"He is not family Rydel." Louis said.

"He is too! This is gonna ruin everything!!" Rydel said.

"Ellington will get out of there!" Louis said.

"I said don't drag my family into this. So if you want my help with all your plans you het Ellington out. Get another suspect."

"Rydel. Your new to this and I get it! But he is our cover!"

"Louis don't drag my family into this or you will die instead! Leave my family alone!" I got up and walked away.
