Chapter 14

Chapter 14
Riker's POV
I met Rocky in the kitchen cause everyone else was playing video games so I knew we were ok.
"Did you get your information?" I asked Rocky.
"I did. What about you?" Rocky asked.
"Yes. Tell me yours first."
"Ok so Ross said That he told Rydel she wasn't being hepful with helping him with practicing for Austin and Ally. Ryland said He told Rydel she was being a brat. But neither of those seem like it woud make Rydel leave so. What about you?"
"Well Mom said she asked Rydel about her and Ellington's relationship status I guess and she said they were just friends and she asked if she liked Ellington and Rydel walked away. Dad said that he told Rydel that if she doesn't practice her piano as much it will start sounding weird and that it was already starting to. And Ellington said he told Rydel she was being a bit clingy and if there was anything wrong cause he was worried about her. And there isn't really bad about those either."
"Someone has to be hiding something."
"I know. The question is who?"
"Who what?" Rydel asked walking in.
"Who is gonna tell Ellington that he has to sleep in Ross and Ryland's room because I need to sleep in the guest room because Rocky and I got in a fight." I said.
"Well that's strange."
"I know."
"Well how about Riker just stays in the guest room with Elligton that way not everyone has to move around? you could just blow up a matress."
"That's..... a fantastic idea." Rocky said.
"Ok well I'm gonna go get ready for bed." Rydel said
"Ok." Rocky said.
"And I will tell Ellington for you whimps." Rydel said.
"Yeah thanks."
"Yep."
Rydel's POV
That was strange.
"Hey Ell can I talk to you?" I asked walking back into the room. He looked at me like seriously.
"Yeah. Sure." He got up and walked out to the backyard with me.
"Hey look Riker and Rocky wanted me to tell you that they got in fight and that Riker was gonna have you move into Ross and Ryland's room so that Riker could use the guest room but I suggested that Riker puts a air mattress in the guest room and you don't have to movve around. So that's the plan." I said
"Don't be ridiculous. I'm as much as family as anyone else. I will move and Riker can take the room." Ellington said
"No. You don't want to stay with Ross and Ryland they snore ALOT!"
"Well I don't want to stay with rocky if he is mad either."
"Then stay with Riker."
"But.... I don't want to."
"There's the couch."
"How about I put the mattress in your room."
"How about..... Wait what?"
"I can stay in your room on the air mattress. I use to when we were 15."
"Yeah sure."
"Cool."
"I am going to bed now so when you came in just be quiet."
"Ok."
"Ok. Good night."
"Night Delly."
I walked inside and sighed. I can't do this. I left because he said he loved me.
~Flashback~
Ellignton had the airmattress in my room and was going to sleep.
"Night Ellington." I said.
"Night Delly I love you."
~Flashback Ending~
That's when I started to get worried. Then this happened.
~Flashback~
I was outside at night. Ellington walked ot and put his cardigan around me. I looked into his eyes. He leaned in and so did I our lips touched and I felt like there was nothing around us. We broke apart and Ellington said this.
"I love you Rydel. I can't tell you how much but I do. I will do anything to make you understand." Ellington looked straight into my eyes. I dropped his cardigan and ran inside. I felt like a fool for thinking that pretending like there was nothing between us but it didn't work.
~Flashbak Ending~
I still feel horrible. I panicked. I got the mattress ready and turned the lights off. I turned on my side and tried to sleep.
2 hours later I wasn't asleep. Ellington had come in and I pretended to be asleep. It seemed to work. I heard a glass fall downstairs. I jumped. I had to wake him up. I got out of bed and walked over to his mattress. He was fast asleep. He looked so adorable.
"Ellington?" I whispered. He shifted alittle and then stopped. I sat on the mattress. It was a queen so he was in the middle.
"Ellington?" I said a little louder.
"Mmmm." He said turning towards me. I put my hand on his shoulder and he opened his eyes.
"Ell." I said
"Rydel? What are you doing up?" He asked.
"I was never asleep."
"Why didn't you tell me when I came in?"
"Because I didn't want you to worry."
"Why would I worry?"
"Becasue. I have some sleeping problems."
"Like?"
"I cry and can't wake up."
"Oh My God Rydel why didn't you tell me?"
"Because. I cry in dreams about.... About... Y.. you." I said crying.
"Rydel..." Suddenly another glass fell downstairs. I jumped right into Ellington's arms.
"What was that?"
"I don't know. That's origanally why I woke you up."
"We have to go look." He held his hand out and I took it.
We walked down the stairs. Ellington had a metal bottle in his hand so that he could hit them. We walked into the kitchen and saw Ross breathing heavily and a guy laying on the floor.
"Oh my god Ross!!" I yelled and ran to him. Ellington hit the guy with the bottle one more time. Ross broke into tears in my arms.
"What happened?" I asked.
"I came down to find Ellington cause I heard something cause the guest bedroom is down here and he wasn't there. So I went into the kitchen cause I thought he might have went to get water but some guy attacked me so I took a glass and through it at him and he fell back so I tried to run to get dad but he got me so I got another glass and missed and I got another and fnally hit him on the head and he blacked out right as you guys got here." Ross said. Ellington grabbed Ross and pulled him into a hug. Ellington started crying.
"I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you." Ellington was hugging Ross so tight. Ross was hugging Ellington back.
"I know."
"I'm serious. I'm SO sorry." Ellington started crying really hard. I pshed Ross aside and pulled him into a hug.
"It's ok Ellington." I said.
"No. I wasn't there for him. I want so bad to be part of this family. How can I prove that I'm worth if I wasn't there for Ross?"
"DAD! It's ok. DADDY!!" I yelled. I heard foot steps running down the stairs. He turned off the lights. He had his gun. He turned the kitchen light on and Saw Ellington crying in my arms and Ross crying.
"STORMIE, RIKER, ROCKY, RYLAND!!!" Dad yelled they all came down the stairs.
My dad was trying to see who the guy was. Everyone was down stairs. Riker hugged Ross.
"I want to be there like Riker." Ellington Whispered.
"I know." I said.
~A Hour Later~
The police came took the guy and we all went to bed. I tucked Ellington in and he fell asleep immadately. Dad and Riker were sleeping downstairs. I fell asleep almost immadately as well.
Later
I felt someone shaking me. I sat up really quickly.
"Rydel! Rydel wake up!" Ellington was shaking me awake. He quickly hugged me. "It's ok. It was just a dream. I'm right here. I'm here." I was crying and he was rocking me back and forth to try and calm me down.
"I.... Had this dream..... and you didn't like me anymore...." I tried to explain.
"Don't push it Rydel. I don't need to know."
"Ellington? Do you still love me?" I asked.
"The question here is do you love me?"
"I asked first."
"Ok. Rydel Mary Lynch... I still love you."
"I love you too."
"Really?"
"Really." He leaned in and kissed me.
"Rydel?"
"Yeah."
"Have you ever seen a doctor about the whole crying thing?"
"Yeah. They said that it was hopeless."
"Why?"
"They said only one thing can fix it. It could be anything."
"I believe that it will change." He kissed me again. Next thing I know I'm asleep.
