To say the least, Kim is not happy.
"C'mon Kim, so what if Ryder's here?" I pry. She turns the opposite direction. I sigh. She hates coming over when he's here; it's just an awkward situation all the time.
"Kimmy," I start, using her childhood nickname. "I forgot to tell you at lunch. I'm sorry but, you never know, maybe he'll talk to you." She turns to face me.
"I don't know, but as long as it's not awkward I'll live." She replies, smiling back at me. I nod and grab some of her bags.
As we head into the house, me leading obviously, Ryder and Tyler jump at me at both sides. I yell and slap them both in the face, dropping the bags. They both just laughed harder than they were when I jumped in surprise. I send them my best death glare as they rub under their eyes.
"You two are both morons!" I declare. They stand straight after ridding themselves of their tears. They high five than notice the bags I dropped on the ground and the guest behind me.
"Oh." They say dubiously. They then rush to grab the bags and take them upstairs to my room, Ryder taking the ones from Kim and Tyler taking the ones lying lazily on the ground. Tyler rushes upstairs to my room. Kim looks down at the ground as Ryder retrieves his required bags and than looks at Kim for a split second. He stops moving.
"Hey, your Kim Avon right?" He prys. Her eyes widen in shock before she recovers and looks up at him.
"Y-yes." She stutters. He chuckles as he face goes crimson from embarrassment.
"I sit behind you in AP Chemistry with Mr. Duval." He explains. She thinks for a moment recalling before nodding her acknowledgement. Ryder chuckles once again. He turns to me.
"Whatever you guys do tonight, keep it down. Adam is coming over with some of the team so we can have a little practice for our lacrosse game tomorrow." He says. I nod.
"No problem. We wouldn't want to be near you're stench too long anyways." He puts a hand on his heart, mocking hurt. He scoffs.
"Whatever. Speaking of the game, you two should totally come and watch it." He requests. I open my mouth to protest but see Kim over his shoulder with pleading eyes.
"Fine. We'll come to you're stupid game. And just don't come and annoy us with your team." He fist pumps the air and smirks at my answer.
No prob, sis." He turns and waves at Kim before heading upstairs with the bags. I turn to her with an unimpressed face. I smile innocently at her.
"You owe me big time." I say and march to the media room with Kim trailing behind me.

After watching a movie, we headed to my room to start getting ready. I stopped abruptly on the stairs.
"I'll be right back, my stuff is downstairs. You get yourself set up and get ready. I'll be done in a sec." I exclaim. I retreat to the laundry room where my pajamas are sitting on the counter. I retrieve my breath and pause in the kitchen to grab a drink. The house is silent, and then I hear the sound of the back door sliding open from the backyard. It closes than footsteps follow, echoing until a silhouette appears in the doorframe.
The figure comes into the light as I grab a knife from beside me.
"Woah, I'm just getting some water!" A familiar deep voice replies. As he steps closer I see his defined features. Adam Martin. I set the knife back in it's place. I completely forgot that the guys were having a practice. Of course it had to be him that I run into. The one that is just trying to get me so he can dump me just as fast. I scowl at him as his lips quirk up into a smirk.
"Sorry, I thought you were the walking dead." I state. His smirk falters but manages to stay in place. He starts to walk towards me and with every step he takes I take retreat one. That is until I hit the wall. I look up to see him block my way.
"You know hat was very rude." He points out.
"Yeah well I don't like you so that might be the cause." I retort. I could see his jaw ticking at my words. Before he could say anything, I continued.
"Oh I'm sorry, did I hurt your ego?" I comment sarcastically. His face was now crimson.
"Shut up, or I'll kill you." He stated to try and intimidate me. I tilted my head.
"If I wanted to die, I would climb your ego and jump to your IQ." I retorted with a plastered smile on my face. While he registered what I said, I pushed him off me, grabbed my stuff and walked up the stairs. I reached my door before realization hit me; I just roasted the most popular guy in the school.
