chapter 10: you held my hand again

it was about time when i broke up with johnny and that i received a threat in return

i continue to stay stable in front of everyone thinking that i indeed could manage what was going on

for some time he kept quiet on what was happening in my life

i got busy i church during the times

there was a conference happening in Cuneta Astrodome and our team was chosen to be a part of the worship team. we practiced for this and to be used also  for promotion of the albums that our Pastor composed.

during that time we were told to prepare with the special ministry people, whom i love so dearly and i was with them the whole time.

by the time of the conference we were all wearing our costume, where the team on stage will wear yellow and black while the rest in promotion will wear the shirts.

Blake was included to sing be in stage and it was dearly supported by  his mother who believed in him a lot.

it indeed all went well and tears flow  in the eyes of everyone and worshipped the Lord as if they were all looking for it and their our pastor testified about his life and the special ministries of the disabled.

it was lunch time afterwards

at first i was assisting the ladies, Pastor Eliza, Marle and Mika while Bernard and Blake where just in the other seats below us. but since i lost my place while eating, i just sat beside Blake.

"Joy can you do us a favor and take us a picture?" Marle mentioned and i indeed agree to this

i took two shots  of the three ladies while 2 shots for Bernard and Blake.

and Blake smiled and me and said in a gentle voice "Joy can we take a picture of the two of us?"

he was looking at me with both smiles in his eyes and his lips

he was so irresistable saying that

what more when he said "you look very beautiful Ms. Vista"

i smiled with feelings of butterflies in my heart "thank you very much Mr. Richardson, let's take a picture"

we took two shots together though the cellphone pixels was not really good, i sent it to my phone since i was using Marle's and then i deleted it after.

"did you sent it to your phone?" he said gently

"yes i did, i deleted it already in Marle's phone"

"ok that's good" he replied

then while i was just keeping quiet, he asked a question "hey would it be alright if you tell me if you already had a relationship before?"

wow that was a surprise to ask yet it's alright for me to reply

"yeah i had already"

he was just smiling "oh really! how many?"

"i had two" i replied thinking why is he interested asking these questions

"you had two boyfriends in the past already, so what happened how was it?"

he was staring at me at he really is interested so i just answered him politely

"actually i don't know how it really started for the both of them i was just  letting me court me until i was able to know to myself that we were already officially dating"

after i answered the question, it was getting noisy in the place so i decided to go out of the stadium while he was taken by his mom to sell the DVD where the 5 of them have their testimonies. since he is one of the person who testified it is good to support his mom in selling while he is around and to strengthen the selling.

since all of them took each and everyone of the ex-sighted (what we call the blind, since we are called sighted, our pastor told us to call them ex-sighted) i was left with Pastor Eliza and  we walked all around to sell DVDs and CD's but all we get are all young people thanking us, in the end we were able to sell 3 before the break time was about to end

it was also good to see my childhood friend Joy 3 (we call each other by number since few years ago we are 3, joy1, joy2, joy3) all the way from Zambales inviting us to sing in the conference in Zambales, our pastor thought of it.

since break is almost up, i saw Auntie Lily, Blake' mom busy and he is standing in the side, i already took him.

"let's go back inside Blake" i told him while pulling his arm

"oh, okei" and he followed me. Auntie Lily saw it and she just smiled

Pastor Eliza  was on my left, she is the Pastor of the special ministry and she can partially see just like Blake

Blake was on my right

while walking back, his hand suddenly moved forward to my hand, and he held it again, interfingers, i looked at him and he smiled afterwards he released it as if nothing happened, i almost got lost on what Pastor Eliza was saying yet we just continued walking back inside the stadium.

i returned to my place beside Marle and Mika and just continued in the conference. during that time i was very disturbed since i remembered his hand holding mine. i was looking at him most of the time yet i always try to remove in my mind and to focus in the conference.

the day ended well yet tiring. we were all in the gate trying to sell the albums we have before we go home until most of us got tired and sat down in the side, i was trying to sit beside him and my cousin, Jessie, saw me, she was smiling, she knows that there's something going on. when me and i were left alone, i told her a glimpse, she was shouting in joy the whole time. so much for butterflies.
