Harry raced down the halls looking for someone with H/C hair. It was then that his green orbs found you sitting outside reading a book. Harry approached you, but you were too focused on your book to notice his presence.
"Y/N?" he said, causing you to jump slightly at his voice. "I've been looking all over for you."
You shut your book and straighten your (house) tie. "I've been out here the whole time. Why were you looking for me?"
"I was hoping you could help me with some of my homework."
"Me? What about Hermione? She's literally the smartest person in the whole school."
"She's busy. Just please Y/N?"
You huffed. "Fine, but only this once."
"That's perfect! Meet me in the Gryffindor common room later. (If not in Gryffindor) Just ask Ron for the password. I've got Quidditch practice right now. See ya!"
It was two hours after Harry had asked for your assistance, and you stood in front of the fat lady portrait. You said the password and watched as the portrait door flung open.To your surprise, the common room was almost completely empty, but one student was seated at the table, where you and Harry were supposed to be studying.
"Hermione?" you gasped. "What are you doing here?"
"Y/N? I could ask you the same thing."
You crossed your arms. "Harry asked me to help him with his homework."
"No," she said, raising her eyebrow questioningly. "Harry asked me to help him with his homework."
It finally clicked.
"We've been set up, haven't we?" You sat down across from Hermione.
"It appears we have. He's not going to stop. Maybe we should tell him."
"But where's the fun in that?"
"Y/N, I've lost count of how many times he's tried to set us up."
"It's still hilarious, though. I can't believe he hadn't realized we're already together."
Hermione glared at you. Her chocolate brown orbs begging for you to give in and, of course, you did.
"Fine," you sighed. "We'll tell him."
She smiled at you and pecked your lips.
A loud cough caused the two of you to turn your attention toward the common room entrance.
"Harry?!" Hermione exclaimed. She rose from her seat and approached her best friend. "How long have you been standing there?"
"Long enough," he said, his eyes wandering back and forth between you and Hermione. "I only want to know one thing."
You and Hermione glanced at each other, unsure of what he was about to say.
"Did me always setting the two of you upstart your relationship?"
Hermione let out a breath, which she didn't realize that she had been holding, while you giggled.
"No, we've been together way before you started setting us up. We didn't tell you because we figured that you would eventually figure it out." You watched as Harry's expression dropped at your words. "Obviously, you didn't figure it out."
Harry groaned. "So, I've basically have been wasting my time?"
"Yeah, pretty much." You laughed.
"We're sorry, Harry," said Hermione. "We should've told you sooner."
"It's fine. I'm just happy that my ship has sailed."
